Many Poles living in England, ex-pats as well as recent citizens believe that post-Brexit Britain has become a dangerous new world. Apparently, the two young men were attacked, verbally abused, and then beaten by a group of five or so teens, including teenage girls, all because the men were speaking Polish to one another.
Pretty ghastly stuff, I'd say. Farage and May have thus far been publically silent.
As one whose boyfriend is apparently a successful, yet visibly non-English speaking Pole, Dreamergirl, I'd be quite concerned! Perhaps those youths in Harlow didn't see this Arkadiusz as a threat, since he only was a meat factory worker, your friend is an entrepreneur and that's something else entirely, as he's working and uncounted native-born ethnics Britons aren't:-)
Yes, as I stated in another thread about this, "I hope the punks are required to do their sentences in a Polish prison so they can learn the Polish language so they no longer will be intimidated by it." :-)
(If they were to survive) Now that would be true justice and send a loud clear message.
Idiots don't care who is the victim. There is a lot of anti polish feeling. They are mad that the poles are working, stealing their jobs, women etc. Same old stuff different day.
That evil has deep roots. You remember when i started thread about word `slovenly` in English? Word deeply insulting. Word with which little Anglos grow up. Word that is just one of thongs that programing Anglos to hate everything Slavic, with it everything Polish.
Happy days are finally here then. I know a Liberal bar we can go get a deal on beers to celebrate. Buy one beer for the price of two and get served one absolutely free !
I'm lucky that my boyfriend doesn't understand a word of what people say to him when we go out so he never gets insulted if he knew he'd do much more fighting
Many jokes on account of Poles there. No wonder that people from time to time have desire to beat and kicking them and even to think of it to be normal.
Whatever it might have been, such things are not forgotten or forgiven easily, tensions will escalate. UK's feral children are not stupid; they knew exactly what they were doing.
Nothing to do with the brexit, Poles were sometimes attacked long before the brexit. For some reason left wing rags would never mention this incident if the attackers were black or asian brits.
Perhaps those youths in Harlow didn't see this Arkadiusz as a threat, since he only was a meat factory worker,
???? Do you think they stopped him and asked what he did for a living before he was beaten to death? Like his profession would have made a difference ?
We see now that humiliation of Lech Walesa at London Heathrow airport wasn`t coincidence. One can even think of anti-Slavic hysteria in England. Kicking of Poles to death and campaign of lies against Serbians in mass media are part of it. Let us don`t forget of EU`s tolerance on Nazism. You know, there are consequences.
Oh, many would yet to be awaken of what is EU. i know what EU done to my country by manipulations, many lies, mass media hysteria, economic sanctions, trade embargo, open military intervention, initiating and sponsoring Civil War here, collaboration with mujaheedines, cooperation with terrorists, support to extreme Muslims, tolerance of examples of Nazism in the region, etc, etc.
So, beating of Poles to death in London is no surprise to me. Its normal. Actually, its just the matter of time when would be Poland beaten.
Craw political winds in Poland are changing, society is openly questioning the "wisdom" of EU. Brighter future for all slaves is on the horizon. Conciseness of what EU represents was always there but no one dared to make waves, now the winds of change are blowing since they decided to speed up the process of transforming Europe. It's no longer done in secret and in small steps therefore it's no longer a conspiracy theory, the outrage is growing not just in Poland but all the Slavic lands and Hungary.
"Nothing to do with the brexit, Poles were sometimes attacked long before the brexit."
Yes very true we got a kicking from time to time, I can vouch for that, early 1970's skinheads and all that, as for a brexit effect, well only time will tell, I know from experience the vast majority of the indigenous population of the UK mean poles no harm.
Agenda of the ruling class is the real culprit, "Brexit" a convenient escape goat. Divide and conquer is the name of the game, as long as you can focus public discontent in the opposite direction it's easier for you to realize your objective, a win win situation. Too bad the public is too stupid to realize that.
There were 573 murders in Britain last year. My thoughts are it's a dangerous place compared to Poland and if one decides to live there they should remain weary.
No, for me it isn`t. i meant to say, considering situation in Britain, in whole of EU. Don`t say that you don`t see what`s going on around you.
Your obvious hatred of Brits is clouding your judgement.
Truth is that i think completely different for example of Scots then of English. Still, even that isn`t hate what i feel. Its disgust. English are responsible for that atmosphere of hatred on Poles and everything Slavic in Britain. It is English who are in one hand isolationists from rest of Europe at the same time fascinated with Islam and in the other hand they keep absorbing neo-Nazi ideology pumped on European scene by certain circles from within EU. Like that combination of Islam and Nazism needs to become kind of glue that would bind new Europe.
Craw political winds in Poland are changing, society is openly questioning the "wisdom" of EU.
i truly hope so.
Hungarian PM Viktor Orban will visit Serbia on Monday, September 5, and the two countries governments will hold a joint session by the end of the year. We accelerate our cooperation with Hungary and coordinate our steps in approach to China, Russia, USA and western Europe. Who wants fair partnership with us we cooperate. Only EU (western Europe) insist to deal with us with utmost dictate and that won`t pass. And guess what- Britain (England), togather with Germany is the main hawk of such a behavior in EU (western Europe).
Yes very true we got a kicking from time to time
True. They are cunning and great deceivers but fortunately masks falling down. As one Serbian proverb says: ``Lie have short legs.``
My thoughts are it's a dangerous place compared to Poland and if one decides to live there they should remain weary.
I think you mean 'wary' but it can get weary living here, I agree.
English are responsible for that atmosphere of hatred on Poles and everything Slavic in Britain.
The problem is with sweeping generalisations is that they are just that, sweeping generalisations.
I am English and voted 'leave' but there is no hatred on my part for the Polish or for Europe. It was the EU that I was voting against.
Total freedom of movement is based on pretty flawed logic, but that didn't cause the murder of this man in the same way that a bunch of feral rats setting fire to and looting shops in London in 2011 wasn't caused by it either.
David Cameron coined the phrase 'Broken Britain' at one stage of his career in politics, but I'm not sure he blamed the EU for the country's problems. The problems with society today that can result in such violence goes way deeper than the EU or xenophobia and or racism. It would be easier to deal with if it were.
But most people voted for it because they thought it meant that they could then have rid of the immigrants, black people, Asians, polish, Romanians etc. Let's not fool ourselves here. You only have to read the backlash post brexit on Facebook for people's individual thoughts. The general population did not know what brexit was for. Their only reason was to stop immigration. They knew nothing else. And now they are angry. Angry that no one has been sent back. And the children of these angry parents will see this and believe this. Don't fool yourselves with anything other.
