As it's Bydgoszcz I would expect minimum 2000pln net. Link to IT salaries in Poland I gave here:

Bydgoszcz doesn't belong to top biggest cities in Poland, so I guess salaries there are around 50% of those in Warsaw.

Cost of living you can check in Numbeo. Here you have Warsaw to Bydgoszcz price & earnings comparison: As you can see Bydgoszcz has a lot lower rent prices comparing with Warsaw.

Thank You Maybe and Monitor, was really helpfull...Soo Expense for a month would range between..3000 to 4000 pln..ie food +rent+bills+transport.

When working in city car is not necessary, then monthly ticket for public transport costs max 120zł.

Of course there are taxes in Poland: [taxrates.cc/html/poland-tax-rates.html]. But what you should care is only that from Gross salary after income tax and obligatory insurance deduction you will be left with 30 - 40% less. Meaning net is 60 - 70 % of gross salary.

With 2000 PLN net you can live sparingly. If you want to have a little bit of joy from consumption then you should get min 3000 PLN net.

And according to this page: median salary for IT workers in Kujawsko Pomorskie (region where Bydgoszcz is) is 4500PLN Gross. It's 3200PLN Net.

Large companies in Poland tend to pay more. In addition to differences that were evident at the level of provinces, significant discrepancies in pay notice in enterprises of all sizes. As seen in Table 1, together with the size of the company grows median wages. The smallest employers offered an average of 3 900 PLN , while in large companies (employing 1 000 people or more ), the median salaries amounted to 7 000 PLN.

The higher in the hierarchy of the higher earnings. The IT industry is no different from others in that it , together with the senior organization earnings were higher. Rank and file employees earned 3 500 PLN , but the income of specialist positions amounted to 6 000 PLN . Average salary of managers in this sector amounted to 8 700 PLN . More earned only directors and representatives of the board. Median their wages amounted to 15 000 PLN . So it was more than 4 times higher than regular employees , and 2.5 -fold surpassed salary specialists.

Realistically if you can get 3000zl to 4000zl a month after tax, life will be comfortable. The majority of Poles have an income around 2000zl to 2800zl a month. If a Pole earns more than 15,000zl a month after tax they are classed as wealthy.

Its will come out to be 5700-5750 PLN net per month, wish is not bad if you do not have to provide for a family.

Medical insurance/life insurance + benefit card is nice to have, maybe ask for a parking spot in case you are planning to have a car here.

LTA must be some Indian invention. In Poland worker has 20 to 26 days off pay year (26 is after 10 years of work, study time is included to that) + public holidays:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_holidays_in_Poland

BenefitSystem Card - it's the card of the company you're applying for a job, so read their website or ask

Annual bonus as % of base salary According to the goals set in Balanced Score Card 10% - there is a chance for 10% of annual salary bonus if you perform according to their "Balanced Score Card" - it's something from your company

Global Capability Model level 5 - no idea what's that.

one more thing "+a relocation package PLN 600 gross (monthly) " - usually relocation bonus is one time only.

Probably this is a multisport cards which offers you free activities such as gym's, swimming pools etc. Quiet use full in my opnion and has a value of around 150ZL pr. month.

Hi Monitor,

Thank you for the update.
LTA (According to India) Is basically company paying for your travel expense yearly..
ie if i plan to visit my family in india..Then company would pay for my air tickets.

This was the line for relocation package.
"You will be entitled to receive a relocation package in the amount of PLN 600 gross to a rented apartment. This will be paid for a period of 5 years (monthly) "

So apart from Medical Care, Life Insurance and BenefitSystem Card , Do i need to ask any other facilities?

Warm regards
Fabian

Then ask them for 1 return ticket to India per year. Say that in India you have such thing, maybe they will give you :) You know it's up to company what you get. Mostly corporations give something extra, but in smaller firms you don't get any bonuses or benefits.

"You will be entitled to receive a relocation package in the amount of PLN 600 gross to a rented apartment. This will be paid for a period of 5 years (monthly) " - it would be funny if they pay you 600zł in 60 rates during period of 5 years = 10zł per month :) Because this is what they write.

How many days approx would it take to get a valid Work Permit for Poland.

Back in the days when I needed one it used to take about two to three months. The process hasn't changed much since then. However, back then the labour office used to take a fairly relaxed approach to people who were working while their application for a work permit was being processed, I don't know if that is still the case.

I am not sure how net of this 600 is calculated, but if it's simply 6000 + 600 -> net. Then you will have 4665,58 net. If you cook at home polish food (imported more expensive) then 1000pln for food should be enough. Some small apartment with utilities fees in Bydgoszcz should be around 2000. Some tickets and other expenses 500pln.

4665 - 3500 = 1165.
So either you will have to save on quality food or rent smaller apartment or you will not save 2000pln with this salary.

Hmm, actually you can pay closer to 1500 for apartment, because they're cheaper in Bydgoszcz than in other big cities.

and what about travelling and having fun in bydgoszcz , you have calculated food and rent and facilities , but how cost it is if we need to go out and enjoy our life twice a week or at least once a week
Monitor  13 | 1810
6 Aug 2013 /  #26
Look above, I edited my post - you will have 500 pln more. Beer prices in pubs starts from 5-6 pln so it's not a big expense. In Poland only rich (or those who don't want to save money or have their own house) go to restaurants. And because your wife wouldn't have salary then you cannot be called rich (although your salary is above average) And as for traveling around the country there are relatively cheap buses. But you can see that it's either fun or saving.

And it's possible to rent studio apartment for 1000pln and then you will have disposable 2165pln

?

Since when? I and all my friends go to restaurants all the time, and we can't exactly be called rich people. Given that you can get a decent pizza for 20zl in a restaurant in Poznan, it's really not that hard to eat out often. It might not be 'fine dining', but you can certainly eat somewhere with good service and good food for not very much money.
Monitor  13 | 1810
6 Aug 2013 /  #28
I exaggerated with rich :) but to have fun you should at least earn average salary and rent nothing bigger than studio. Anything more: family to pay for, bigger apartment, smaller than average salary and you either cannot save or you should put away fun in case of restaurant etc.
