can anyone tell me which is a better deal..Rosetta Stone or the complementary Learn Polish in 3 months.. and Advanced Polish by Hugo .. Thanks for the help
I have Rosetta Stone and find it's great for remembering what you learn, but I feel the need to supplement it with a dictionary or grammar guide.
Thank you, thank you. Hearing the proununciation helps so very much. I teach English to children in Poland. At first I tried to learn Polish just to understand the change the kids are making when moving to English. It was useful, for example, to learn there are no articles in Polish. Now it's a challenge that I really enjoy.
Many thanks for taking the time to do this and for being the type of person this world needs. Although I have progressed by this stage, I realise that I can still improve from using it. Also this is a terrific tool to introduce our younger family members to their paternal great-grandfather's native tongue. Much appreciated.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this. I am a black guy in Chicago with many Polish friends and they are trying to teach me a few Polish words, but this really helps in the pronunciation of the words.
With last four units for: z, ź, zi and ż, I completed the pronunciation guide to Polish Language. There are 45 units, 748 nouns illustrated. It took me a year of work. It was your nice comments which kept me going. Thank you so much.
I know an American women who is a kind of a newborn Jesus freak. (but apart of this you would never believe how nice she is) I read the Gospel for her. I am going to show this project also in this forum. It’s a little bit creepy but I remember my first “book” I read in English was the Gospel. Those New Testament stories are very strongly present in our Christian based world so it may be quite a good idea.
On the other hand I don’t feel much acclaim for this project so maybe I stop it after a while.
The best thing is: I go to Poland on 8th June (will watch the German - Polish play with my Polish friends) and there I will produce some street language experience videos. We will take a mike and hit Cracow to see how Polish is spoken in the streets.
I will work there with one school. The idea is to bring them to produce language experience material for people who want to learn Polish. I hope I can reach every Polish school someday (in 100 years). The politic idea is: producing media is obvious nowadays - we should teach our children how to handle it - the best way to teach is to produce language scenes.

The most difficult thing to grasp, in my learning experence so far, has been the changing of word endings. While the basics, (which indicate masc. fem. or neuter) are not difficult to fathom, situations where Ewa would become Ewę for example are not so easy to get to grips with.

Trying to learn verbs has so many unexpected twists and turns. Going through commonly used verbs seems like a good idea, as long as you don't forget how much of the time we talk about the past and future. I still only know a tiny bit about past and future tenses of verbs, when a typical conversation will be about what happened yesterday, things that I have done, the things we will do tomorrow, and so on.
