Condolences Lotkers mate.

the jungle somewhere

Surviving the jungle intact is testament enough to the man your friend was mate; returning voluntarily speaks even more eloquently. Granddad's reluctant Burma reminiscences were an education in themselves.

A striking tribute Lotkers to a friend gone to his eternal reward. We all hope you're doing as well as can be expected. :)

Could a kind moderator split gtd's post off in to its own thread? It will no doubt generate a gastric discussion and Lotker's thread doesn't need to become lost in the ensuing vitriol. :)

TIA

Anyone who cares to leaf lazily through your profile, paying particular notice to the latest threads and replies section may come to the conclusion that you do. But we all know better. :)

All I can say is that he/she uses a lot of commas

I did, feel, a little, Shatnerian, while I, was, reading it. I do have to admit.

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

Sometimes I forget that people do not pick up ironic nuances on here.

Attention where quiet important sounds become louder than the overwhelming everyday noise. How can we forget the ever present cocktail party syndrome and the submariner's daughter telling him life's always better down where it's wetter and so on. :) We know you cannot be serious but we don't want to give others the wrong impression. That was meant to be MacEnroe, you cheeky <expletive deleted> :)

This thread was started in reaction to another similarly titled thread about the English or the Polish

Ah I hadn't noticed that thread, that will teach me to have a sebaceous, ugh, septic uggh sabbatical... Best to steer clear of such craziness is my motto but well we all like Bergerac. :)

It is a shithole

Wow sounds serious Ianto.

I believe Wrexham is worse

Ahh I see I think maybe. :) Is this one of those opinions again? Sorry to ask but it seems that you may be confusing them with facts?

Os as you are one of our PF regulars, Premium no less, and your replies may well be taken literally or at least seriously, may I please ask

Do you have direct knowledge of this?

It's a bit worrying and hoping to sort out the fud from the facts :)

I am Welsh and of course I think we are lovely.

:) You're not alone. Though some days it felt like it. Fond memories from my time your side of the border. Smiling to myself as the croeso i gymru sign flashed past after a long day. Halcyon days. :)

Genealogy / GITLER... is it Polish surname? [30]

Google is your friend.

I just did a search. This is a quote from the first page I found:

Two days ago we toured the haunting but strangely peaceful Jewish cemetery in Warsaw. Among the thousands of gravestones, many of which were broken, tipped over and neglected, we happened upon the tomb of the "Gitler" family. (Due to the phonetic characteristics of Russian, Hitler is referred to as "Gitler" in that language.)

Now that's just an internet source and you know how to treat the validity of said, but maybe it's a starting point for you. :)

Lived in Stockholm for about 6 months, give or take. Lovely place shame it was so expensive and the people were mainly tuned into mig.fm. Nonetheless had an enjoyable stay. :)

Only just noticed this thread. Great work. Hands on is what's needed yep.
Reading about where to position your tongue sounds good but i've found taking it straight from the horse's mouth can't be beaten. Yep still in the foothills here mate.

Base camp one in sight then. :)

Well quite. Look at Rowan Williams, it's even written into his contract. Cheeky Monkey.

Love / Fell in love with a Polish girl, but find it difficult to approach her [620]

first intuition about a person voice mail whom she has not dated yet.

My aren't we the presumptious one.

I gave him my number because I thought he just was just being nice, after all he knows I've got a boyfriend. But now he's calling. What should I do? Anyone? I don't want to go out with him, I just smiled and was being polite. Now he's planning our first date. I need to let him down gently.

Hey there Polishgirl
Just ignore the voice mail, he'll get the message. If he keeps calling, change your number.

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

I'm getting tired just thinking about all of southern's antics. He's only one man. All I get on a european train are badly made sandwiches. I think I need a lie down.

Finally. Good sense has arrived. I knew this thread was missing something. Well, I tried, but I think I was talking to myself. Lust is blind i suppose.

Love / Fell in love with a Polish girl, but find it difficult to approach her [620]

Do you realise you ran 7 stop signs whilst your overactive imagination was running out of control sir?

But she smiled at me and she kept looking at me. What else was I supposed to do I even asked her out and everything but she's married. She still wants me though.

Of course she does sir.

Can you just blow into this please.

<one long continuous blow>

I'm going to have to confiscate that imagination of yours if you keep on. :)

Love / Fell in love with a Polish girl, but find it difficult to approach her [620]

Hope you are well Hueg.. Usual Austrian party-fest happening I suppose?

Yep. All's well thanks muchly. It's bbq time so there is currently a haze of charcoal smoke hanging over the city. Either there are a lot of sausages being blackened or we've got another new pope. Could go either way to be honest.

Hope you've managed to shake off the air kissing I was fired by Sir Alan Nothing to do with Amstrad Sugar types for a quiet weekend. I really do love understatement. :)

How about something short and to the point like: "Hi there, i'm the <insert descriptive noun of your choice here> that is trying to break you two up, lovely to meet you. No hard feelings eh?"

edit: as this forum is called polish singles and this girl clearly isn't aren't we heading off into Off Topic territory. Wouldn't want any moderating double standards now would we?

Love / Polish stranger wants me to write to him [34]

Stop thinking what he can think or not... behave like a matured person, clear your position to him... and stick to your commitment.

He'll find some single English girl for his English... dont worry.... or he might even find a good Polish girl who knows good English!

Have a nice day!

I've just marked this day in my calendar.

LS has written something that I agree with word for word.
