i also dont like the - ę

may be because we dont have in english alphabet hehehehe

i'll get there im sure

Language / Bought "Rosetta Stone" software and trying to learn Polish... [59]

well ale jaja mate. im trying also to learn polish. you must be from scotland???with a name like gordon. perhaps england. i wish you luck , as the language is gobbledegook.

rosetta stone>im against getting anything like that from internet. one: its expensive.and two: when you hear someone pronouncing polish from tapes or the internet . and then try it yourself. its really difficult. meaning, you think you have got a word perfect, and you say it to polish person and they dont know what your talking about.

you are better sticking to the basic, dzien dobry and dobranocs and stuff like that, but i guess you can progress. and just not sure of your situation.

do you know anyone polsih from work or soemthing.

thats your best bet. practise your pronunciation with them .
and try a class if possible. dont go to pub. go to class

all the best
oh you can always try and get someone form this site to msn with you like i do

pa pa(mate)

One thing my wife wouldn't except from me is that pronunciation of 'cz' and 'sz' is not 'ch' and 'sh' in Polish like they are in English.- there's a slight variance. -Good luck!

nutts="you hit the nail on the head"

i cannot pronounce sz, cz examples. the number 6 in polsih and 'hi'

impossible

my brain is 'sh' and 'ch'

even then i cannot pronounce them with that either

ale jaja!!!!!!!!!!
i can pronounce that though. so thats one thing . lol

then i've got to get my head around the Polish grammar...but one step at a time

WHO RATTLED MY CAGE ? that would had been you mate.
glad to see your spelling has improved.

i have tried watching Roman Polanski's Knife in Water but they talk really fast!I know how to say hello and good afternoon-but my knowledge is very basic-the pronunciation of words is difficult for me to get the hang of-i can write things in polish as opposed to saying them!

what about the spelling of English words Saffron like PRONUNCIATION ....

Don't worry about him Saff. He's just angry because he thinks that it's ok to say 'yous'.
Then again, I think they do that in Scotland apparently.

No no it's Iron Brew. They just won't listen.

yes it is perfectly ok to use "YOUS" in scotland where i do come from

its confusing if people refer to other people by just saying >you........

pa,.........i lead a quiet life now

Life / How Safe Are the Polish Cities? [179]

i have been to gdansk, krakow and poznan and just the same as i have been to glasgow, edinburgh and dundee........

you dont walk dark streets at night- very simple

not if you can avoid it...........

the last place was krakow and as far asthe disco were concerned it seems very relaxed

if you go to glasgow there is much more trouble

i dont know maybe more people are not from krakow but are holidaymakers so are not looking for trouble, but then again i think it was mostly polish people in the discos

Where exactly is the name of the driver on the Polish Driving Licence?

The UK Driving Licence is much easier. Typical Polish everything made difficult.
