Love / Your Thoughts about 20 Year Age Difference Between Men & Women in Poland? [74]

Okay I am 52 y.o. and she is 30 y.o.

Age difference isn't a problem for a short term relationship but something long term might be difficult if she's only 30. She's still going to fall for the men who are in their 20's and 30's and see the older man as more like a father figure. However, women who are a few years older, late 30's maybe, often prefer older men. Just my opinion.

Love / Polish girls attitudes towards sex. [568]

If a husband is helpful, earning enough, and completely honest.... and the children are young.....then I AM AGAINST nannies (i guess they call those caretakers nannies).

Its my opinion, and again: 'I' 'Personally' dont want to see Poland be like USA.

I think you'll find that women in the USA work because they have to, not because they want to be away from their children. The cost of living is so high here that a husband's salary is not enough to survive, especially if they have children. And divorce is very common. Single mothers have no choice but to work or else become homeless.

For single mother....she has her faults too.... trusting an irresponsible man....who didnt have the guts to marry her and take the responsibility before being physical with her. But again, it is unfair on her.

Women who are divorced are also called single mothers here in the US. And often times, the divorce is not her choice.

Although there are definitely some people who are overly ambitious, the majority of the people in the US work for the sake of survival. An old house here in Los Angeles costs half a million dollars. I don't know if you're familiar with US currency.

Life / Favourite Polish movies? [107]

The other day I watched Karol: A Man Who Became Pope. It was at the Polish Film Festival in L.A. but I rented the DVD. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time. I wasn't expecting it to be so good. I thought it would focus on the Catholic religion but it wasn't like that at all. It focused more on events and it was very dramatic.

News / Polish Immigrants Leave America for Europe [210]

I heard the same thing. Polish people are moving out of the USA and coming back to Poland.

It's too expensive in the US, especially for people who are at retirement age.

Genealogy / Is tallness common among Polish people? [201]

how much it is in cm?

I think it would be something like 190 cm for 6'3" because 1 foot is equal to 30.48 cm. That means 7 feet would be around 213 cm.

hope youre not shrinking on us

Yes, I think I am. Even pants that are labeled Short are too long for me.

Genealogy / Is tallness common among Polish people? [201]

I'm 5'2" tall. :( I must be Sicilian like Koach said. heehee. But at the Polish festival here in L.A. I didn't have to look way up at anyone. Polish people are short here or average height. Maybe it's all the toxic chemicals in the water in addition to the smog.

Very funny. :( I'm just teasing. I live near Asians and Mexicans and they're all short, too, so I don't feel bad.

On rare occasions it does fill up and people always fall in and get swept away because it's such a rare sight. They can't help themselves.

News / Polish Immigrants Leave America for Europe [210]

I am so disgusted at what this country is becoming with all the non-European immigrants

This is exactly what the Native Americans said about the Europeans. I guess the land is never going to remain the property of just one race. First it was the Natives, then the Europeans, now the Mexicans. Some other race will probably come along someday and take over the Mexicans.

That depends on what part of the country you're speaking about... Native Americans around my area may as well have been Mexican...proximity to the border...

What do you mean?

Populations of Indians and Mexicans could have intermixed if they were close to each others borders

Yes, they definitely did mix. It's a known fact. But I don't get what he meant in relation to my comment. Mexican Indians are considered Native Americans. The Mexican immigrants that are coming over these days are mixed with European now.

My guess is that people don't realize that Mexican Indians were Native Americans. The term "Native American" applies to all indigenous people in all Latin American countries.

I thought Native American is the "race" allocated to those who are indigenous to North America.... Meaning above Central America to Alaska...

I've seen it on DNA test websites, the ones that reveal ancestry. They're the ones who call them all Native Americans because they were on the American continent first.

I took the DNA test myself and got matched with Suwalki Poland, Podlasie Poland, Northern Poland, Belarus, Austria and Germany. It was actually Bavarian German.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

A Polish man told me that Polish jokes started in America because the Polish immigrants who came here were those who didn't know how to read or write. I don't know how true that is.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Sometimes they really piss me off and I am tempted to go Polack and throw them out the window.

What does "to go Polack" mean? I mean, did he just make that up or is that a common saying? It sounds like to "go Postal", which means to go crazy. It was created after postal workers all over the US began shooting people at their work places for no reason.

Even wear the same tights!

What?! :)

Sorry But average for a man I would say is 5 10 to 6ft

Seriously? I can't believe how tall people are over there. Even Matyjasz who is considered short in Poland is considered tall here in the US, at least in Los Angeles. I guess it's because there are many people here from Mexico and other Latin American countries and also many Asians (especially in my neighborhood) and most of them are not very tall. But even the Polish people here are not very tall.

As for me, I'm a midget compared to all of you. I'm 5 ft. 2 inches. I don't know how to convert to cm but I used an online converter and it says it's 157.48 cm. It's 62 inches total.
