This kind of sexual abuse is frequent in Jewish families and seemingly the more religious, the more abuse and less choice women have and the younger it happens. Women are expected to be subservient to their men and simply pop out babies and do whatever the man says. A lot of people don't realize that religious Jews segregate by gender the way Muslims do. In certain parts of the us, i.e. kiryas joel and other places in ny, street signs, ambulance services and even neighborhood patrols are done in a Jewish way and have Hebrew writing. It's an open secret that us taxpayers pay for all this stuff including religious yeshiva schools where Jewish theology and law dominate the curriculum. Many of these orthodox families also live off welfare. They are able to use their religious status, large household and many kids to receive enough money to live comfortably. The women are expected to cook, clean, and take care of everything while the men study, read and socialize.

The few that want to leave this community find it very difficult. One woman had 10 kids at age 40 with her first kid being born when she was 16. If they get a divorce that is unapproved by the rabbi, they are totally excommunicated from the community. Most marriages are arranged and the girls are often 15 16 17 etc. 17 and 18 are often too old. In some families parents encourage their 14 15 year old children to date their future spouse while in others they may not know their spouse till wedding day. A big contention point in thr few divorces is status quo meaning the children are expected to live a life like they did before with their parents prior to divorce. Many teens also seek to leave simply because they want to use modern things like Wi-Fi - as internet is regarded an outside, immoral 'goy' modern goy tool that degrades morality and destroys the orthodox community.

It's b.s. a good amount of the time, however the times it isn't it's awful so ppl will use it play on people's emotions. A lot of it is settled out of court and doesn't result in long sentences if it's been a long time. The criminal aspect of an old rape lawsuit generally isn't the problem for a famous wealtht defendant in such a case but more so the civil lawsuit

To this day there are poles who speak fluent polish and have lived in Ukraine for generations. The number has been steadily decreasing esp after ww2 but there still are remnants. Kind of like lwow in ukraine. My grandma from dad's side was from wilno born and raised but shes def a pole

Were you in Moscow, St Petersburg or elsewhere? I've visited the palaces and a few sites around St Petes but didn't get to see much aside from the usual tourist traps. My aunt taught there for a while as well.

What do you mean by scar? Did some cop beat you up or something? I know the police can be pretty rough there. I was chatting with a guy who was there on business and he told me how a cop broke his window because he thought the hand rolled cigarette he was smoking in his car was a joint.

I liked the culture and all. However, I found the people working at the stores like supermarkets, delis, clothing stores to be a bit rude - especially the older ladies. Kind of like an old commie environment and attitude persisted like even more so than the sort of personality and vibes a lot of the old timers who've spent most of their lives in PRL times.

The private prisons are a big part of it as well as the for profit bail system.

The reason why there's so many blacks is two food. Urban inner city blacks don't have many businesses and industries left.
