UK, Ireland / How long will Poles use communism and ww2 as an excuse to move to the UK? [55]

So often i read from chavs on forums and news websites about the woes of the UK - Usually blaming the wave of hard working immigrants that bring a truly global sense of multiculutralism (which their leaders fully embraced), blaming the Muslims for 7/11, and blaming the poor weather for "our collective malaise".

It;s been nearly 50 years since the introduction of mass immigration. You've had 10 years of crying the blues.. and you are still a economic mess.

Anglo cultures are all very similar - with a commonality in the chav sub-culture (oxy-moron.....) Very lazy, uneducated, conniving, selfish and will do anything to make get a holiday in mallorca.

Look at Ireland! Incredibly rich in natural beauty, yet full of troublemakers.
Brits need to face facts. You're just not economically viable as a nation without somebody willing to do work for the priveleged and chav-class.

The pick of the bunch, in my opinion are the Welsh. I also noticed the people there are quite friendly and ambitious for Anglo standards! Perhaps this is a clue??

Have no fear. Anglos have embraced their right to escape their leaders and move to proper countries such as the Canada, USA, Poland and Spain.

Proper countries. Countries full of community spirit, drive and motivation to get off the couch and stop watching Jeremy Kyle and eating fries from a news paper.

Just a shame lots of them haven't conducted themselves as ambassadors of England. Committing Crimes. Scrounging Benefits. Dancing naked in Polish fountains, marrying the birds, teaching Engrish, the list is endless.

They're even getting in on the act with the 'compensation culture'.

Type in "I would do that job for Minimum wage, and be happy at it" in google and you'll find hundreds of time wasting sites to kill the day away.

Language / Mushroom: pieczarka vs grzyb [24]

If I am not mistaken, grzyb refers to mushrooms in a general sense and pieczarka is a very specific type of mushroom.

Off-Topic / PF - The Omnibus Edition [1502]

Like I said before, I'm easy on dates but with my kind of work I do I need advance notice. Only certain people are qualified to work in my ward (challenging behavior - self harming, suicidal, arson, aggressive behavior and schizophrenic) so can only get holidays when someone on the other shift agrees to sign a "contract" to cover my days off. The joys of my job :D

When did you get the Mod Job on PF?

UK, Ireland / Do the poles like British culture [127]

I accept that is a choice people make in life

Really, I thought it was an orientation impervious to choice, will, training or of even "being cured"...

This man isn't a Christian or a patriot

If a person of the muslim faith refused to drive a bus advertising bacon, would he have a leg to stand on, get the same support (or lack thereof)?

he's homophobic

Agreed...

most probably he's a closet gay

Really? Statistically based on what?

Travel / Toy shops in Poland cities [10]

Merged: Toy Store - Czestochowa Area

I have an acquaintance looking for a large toy store in the Czestochowa area. It would be great if it had a decent on - line presence.

Any recommendations? Looking for a toy for a 6-year old girl.

Off-Topic / Are you living in Poland? [77]

I know plenty of people with money who don't have a life.

True. One has to find the right balance. Money, family, friends, health, freedom etc. are all part of the "personal equation" for happiness. Some people lean more one way than the other.

UK, Ireland / Domestic arguments caused by differences between Polish and English culture [109]

Over the top.

Down, for hygene and aesthetic reasons

Tap (at home) for economic reasons, and the water is good. Bottled elsewhere for plumbing reasons....

Water. Too much sugar in the diet. I do however get a sweet tooth on occasion.

The answers provided above have been approved by my wife.

USA, Canada / Polish-American Hollywood Celebrities Press Release [36]

Perhaps you should think about also looking for English-American celebrities to do likewise? After all, Merian C. Cooper was English-American.

I do not doubt that there is a load of respect for Mr. Cooper in Poland.

However, by clearly established forum standards, he was an American. Period. After all, being one or two generations removed from ole blighty, there would be no connection of any value by which he could claim to be or claimed to be British. I am sure he would have been calling is own mother "mother" not "mumsy".

USA, Canada / Polish-American Hollywood Celebrities Press Release [36]

It is getting a little old guys.

Let me paraphrase the thread so far:

Sunny: Hey here is something that might be interesting to Polonia. A press release is asking for prominent actors with Polish heritage to come forward and support film showing American / Polish cooperation during the Polish Russian War.

Harry (with an air of contempt for Polonia): The link between Mr Cooper and Poland is tenuous at best.

Des: Hey, don't you see the connection (although it wasn't well spelled out by Sunny)? I will now get into my usual mode of Calling Out Harry!

Delph (realizing the barrage has started): Wait for me Kimosabe!!! By the way, I won't say Busia because I can get shyte-canned.

Des: Really Delph?

Delph: Yeah, What Harry said!

Some Drunken Irish Priest: Fekkk! Aahhk! Hey get on topic. Tiiiits!

Harry (after having finally read the link and realized the actual connectivity to Poland in the article). Yeah, but Brits. And... aah... JEWS!

Des: Guys - this is what the topic is about. (Explains in simple yet eloquent terms)

Harry (realizing he's dug himself a hole that is a little deeper than he can easily climb out of) Yeah, look at the Irish too!

Sunny (in his best Patriotic Polonian style): This is an important part of history we are talking about here. Here is more info.

Des: Yeah, exactly Sunny! That's the topic!

Harry: But the Brits played a greater role than the Yanks.

Harry: Blah, Blah. By the way: Jews! Polish Traitors!

Delph: Golly here's a great opportunity to show how much contempt I have for Polonia!

Des: Faaahk me! The record's stuck. The record's stuck. The record's stuck. The record's stuck. The record's stuck. The record's stuck.

Delph: Blah

Harry: Blah

Delph: Blah.

Life / Typical for the Poloniandists [171]

I'm assuming that Harry disagreed with you on that note?

Based on usual and customary associations, I think it is safe to say that Harry would tend to agree more with Delph's viewpoint.

^ If you're interested in talking about the wordbusha, I suggest you do so in the thread boletus linked to.

Since Delph has already broached the subject:

We on here might know that people who use words like "Busia" are Grade A certifiable morons, but most people don't.

I thought this might also be a reasonable venue to discuss. By the way, please be a little more sensitive to the sensitivities of Polonia. The word is spelled "busia".

Shawn, care to point out any racist statement or lie in the post you have just linked to?

No I can't. I am almost certain you have never posted a falsehood on this very forum. However, I am more interested in the next point

You are conveniently omitting a whole bunch of regions in Poland proper, which use the cursed B-word in a hypocoristic form. You are conveniently ignoring a hard research work of several people that have proven you wrong and who have discovered that the B-word still exists in various dialectal/hypocoristic forms in Poland proper. No amount of shouting and demagogic arm twisting will change that facts.

and then continuing on with the rest of the post...

What goals Shawn?

I am pretty sure one might be this one. That's up to Aphro to confirm, that and what the other goal is.

I really would be interested in a thorough dissection and debate surrounding the post though.

USA, Canada / Would Polish schooling and academic diploma be acceptible in Canada? [5]

how would I go about finding out information in Toronto for becoming a registered nurse? person has a Registered Nurse (Bachelor) degree equivalent?

IIRC, the better half had to:
- have her school transcripts translated
- submitted transcripts to the CNO for review.
- take a "refresher course" so she was comfortable with the translations of technical / medical terms
- take the TOEFL test
- write and pass the Licencing Exam.

I am sure there was more to it, but that was several years ago.

UK, Ireland / Polish Biker condemned over 103mph wheelie in the UK [15]

Brits know what the vans look like and slow down.

So because the Brits know what the van looks like, they are infinitely smarter than the unsuspecting Poles. Not knowing the camoflage patterns of the local constabulary makes the Poles less intelligent? Isn't that the typical superior attitude one would expect of a Brit?

Sorry it took me too long to reply, I am painting the fence. Couldn't decide which side to paint first.

UK, Ireland / Polish Biker condemned over 103mph wheelie in the UK [15]

It says Leeds man, it caught my eye as I thought what kind of nutter would do that right as he PASSED a mobile camera Police unit and then i found out its a Polish chap.

Let me pull a Puzzie on you WB:

Are you suggesting that only a nutter of a Leeds man would pull this kind of foolish stunt, but this would be typical behaviour for a Polish chap? One could surmise that all Polish chaps are nutters by this statement. Why does the alleged Boy from Wroclaw make this equation? Is he in fact a Polonophobic thug? Why would Admin permit such a despicable comparison between Polish chaps and Leeds Nutters?

Travel / Lublin ruined by arrival of Ryanair [33]

No doubt we can look forward to yet another Polish city being ruined by the presence of drunken fools.

And RN will be furious that it will be easier for another wave of Polish Job Thiefs and Benefit Sponges to invade the Emerald Isle.

Ahhh, open borders, gotta love them.
