Language / Polish/Ukrainian words similarities [209]

False friends are not as numerous between Russian and Ukrainian. And hardly more between Polish and Russian.

You are very wrong.

But anyway you may not look on how Polish words are writing, look only at Russian part.

What? I don't know Russian so I can correct only your Polish which is full of mistakes, so what's the idea of your file, to show that you have no clue of what you are writing about?

I created a new file with comparison between Western and Eastern Slavic languages

You wasted your time cause you made so many mistakes that makes it useless

.... oh you will obviously ask me for example, so I give you one:

Language / Learning to speak Polish(?) for traveling reasons. Help!? [30]

I roundly disagree with Wulkan's opinion (..though not, of course, with his factsLOL)!

What do you mean by "my facts"?

I have never said that she shouldn't learn Polish I only explained to her it's not a must as she thought that Poland is some god forsaken country where nobody speaks English.

I too would NEVER pronounce the "r" in "gorzka"!

The question remains though: fluency vs. accuracy.

HAHA I totally agree with you on that one ;-)))

Be aware however, that overweening confidence itself, with which many of your messages bristle, reveals to most that you AREN'T a native speaker of English

The fact I'm not a native English speaker does not stop me from beiong fluent in the language.

Returning to the topic. I never received a reply as to whether the so-called "Polish rolling 'r' " rolls the same throughout the country.

I'm telling you for the third time: yes, it is the same throughout the country.

Maybe you met some people with speech impediment which can't pronounce "r" properly and they do it in the "French" way. There is quite a number of them, for example Nina Terentiew

Language / Secret to the Polish Rolling R [40]

In which three languages are you trilingual (I'm afraid to ask):-) Polish? Russian? The third wouldn't be English by any chance, would it?lol

I'm trilingual in Polish, English and Spanish. I find it very amusing that you say that my English is bad and yet you didn't point out any mistakes I have made :-) ooh wait, cause it would be off topic, that's the excuse.

I also speak some German but only the basic level :-)

Language / Secret to the Polish Rolling R [40]

I was simply showing (and rather successully too!) that not always is the 'r' in Polish pronounced one way, i.e; trilled:-)

Paulina exactly explained you that you were wrong. Why you still don't understand?

If I can improve your English, you may continue to correct my Polish.

In no way what so ever is your English better than mine.

Language / Slavic accent correction [110]

So do you think Polish accent sounds similar to German purely coincidently or those languages are somehow originally related?

Are you asking me if it's a coincidence that Poland has been boardering with Germany for long centuries?

Language / Slavic accent correction [110]

you are assumed to be Russian when speaking with Polish,Czech or other EE accent.

so why English people keep thinking I'm Austrian or German when I speak with my Polish accent?
