Love / Polish Girl & Me...Is She Interested? [57]

Recently, she began talking about marriage and moving in together. She also told me she loved me. I have questioned her on love and marriage and the idea of being in a relationship with me to which she hardly provides a good explanation.

if u have doubts.... then put things on hold for a while.

1. Is it traditional for Polish men to pay for literally everything? I mean, are Polish men that accomodating toward their partner?

within reason.

if u're daft enough to show her the cash, she'll spend it.

Life / Children in Krakow Apartment Playgrounds [21]

how old are these kids ?

the very young are not out in the yard in the late hours.

teenagers usually have better things to do than playing with 'horns and bells'

the forum has been very valuable for you to gauge what would be the opinion of your neighbours should you complain. they will not give a damn and they will laugh at you or worse still hold you in utter contempt for attempting to get their children to play more quietly.

I quite agree

it won't be so special once you've hit a few holes in the roads. there are still a lot of cobble streets here, and worse.

Life / Thoughts on Music in Poland [132]

What? I specifically made this a thread on popular music for young ppl, excluding old ppl...!

so u want young people to tell u about music in the sixties ?

what is the problem here ? Do u think older people know nothing about music ?

USA, Canada / Passport photos in Fort Lauderdale, Florida ? [8]

only to find out they want them straight on now.

this is so.

The photo is fed into a computer... eyes, nose, mouth are then lined up with marks that appear on the computer monitor.

It seems to me that it is for facial recognition programs.

UK, Ireland / British Equivalents to Matura Results [30]

so shall i just put A-grades down then?

both A level and Matura are normally taken at age 18/19

both are used to get one into university

both have the same value in my opinion

i'd write 'A level equivalent'

Life / Brajek czy Brajanek? (baby names) [5]

I guess the Polish version of Brian/Bryan.

some people should look into culture a little.

the name brian always reminds me of the snail from the magic roundabout.
