In your case (since the option above is most likely not available for you yet) the only way to get this document from abroad is the option by mail. You need to sent a letter to a Polish registrar office (best to the same city, in which the marriage was registered) with filled application (from here: usc.pl/pobierz.php?wniosek=4&plik=pdf) for a copy of the marriage certificate, the proof of payment for the issuance of the certificate - 33zł. If you wish to receive an act directly abroad, you probably will be charged with a consular fee - about 30euro - contact the Poland's embassy in your country for the details.

You have an obligation to notify your regional office about the change of employment within 15 days - the governor's will probably issue a decision on revoking your temporary permit's validity. In my opinion it is one of the best and simplest way to proceed since this specific case will require lawyers and the court to establish the acquisition of an inheritance. It would be much easier (and less expensive) if your father at the time of his death had Polish citizenship - then the inheritance certification could be conducted by a regular notary.

I'm not an expert but I don't see any reason why you should one passport and not the other in the rule of law. It is only indicated that you should possess an ID with photo, copy of birth certificate, additional papers if you was married before and a document certifying you are free to marry, issued in a country of origin - all translated by a sworn translator.

A little note: in the case of birth certificate, the translation should be made by a person / institution from this list of Polish Ministry of Justice:

It is recommended to use only one and the same document in Poland to avoid some issues, so if your choice is Irish passport - use it always whilst in Poland.

The rank of their site, number of visitors, etc. shows that it isn't in good shape, so probably just the small percent of owners there, with skimpy and outdated information.

As far I know the landlords does not need to provide detailed information about their tenants anywhere, only the rental value - and even it may not cover the reality since owners in Poland have tendency to hide the real income to save on taxes.


There are some sites where you can download the copy of your property papers - "księga wieczysta" in Poland. You just need the number of it. There's also a possibility to obtain such number when you know the exact address of property, but you need to pay for such service:
