Love / Polish women USED TO BE much more attractive: [162]

I have seen a slight increase in the size of girls here but not really much to speak of. Given the abundance of fast food around them, they have still maintained their shape quite well.

Language / How many words does the Polish language have? [30]

Language is in a constant state of flux and you can't ascertain to any precise extent the number of words at any one time. For example, to what extent do you count incorporated words? How valid are dialectal words? You see where I'm going with this?

News / Polish-Scottish American, Chris Ferguson, commands final Space Shuttle mission [49]

People may have Scottish roots but they are often meaningless without more contact with the country itself. Many Americans are hybrids anyway, as befits their culture. As for values, I don't see why some Americans are so proud of their country when many core values have been abandoned or, at any rate, diluted.

Work / Why is Polish workmanship so bad? [52]

In my experience, Polish workmanship isn't bad. Quite the opposite. They are good carpenters and are excellent handymen, adept at DIY. I think the ones that are bad get drunk on vodka and listen to this,

I don't know about their skills in building etc.

The trick is to hold the plastic part against the wall as you pull the plug out. Otherwise, you could end up electrocuting yourself.

Travel / Mosques in Krakow? [131]

Given that Tatars make up 0.06% of the population, they shouldn't be a major concern though Europe insists on a right to religion. It's a delicate question as public funds go into its maintenance so we have to weigh up the net value against costs. Whilst we shouldn't marginalise them as a group, the majority should be able to decide on what they should be granted.

History / Has Polish king Sobieski become an idol of right wing extremists? [21]

Keep the Peeskills out of it ;0 :)

He's still Australian :) :)

Now, Sobieski :) :) Why do people feel the need to blight history?

Serbian folk :) :) Who's the Serbian equivalent of Sobieski, Crow?

Sobieski's good name should not be trampled on by extremists. His actions should be seen in their right time and context.

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

I'll second that :) Budvar is close to being my favourite and I've tried many many beers around the world.

I'll give that beer Harry recommended a try :)

Please please please, don't let Bruce Willis go into an acting role, playing Sobieski. Mel Gibson as the lead actor in Braveheart for us Celts was bad enough. Don't let the Slavs slide into that trap. Willis, I hope you enjoyed your advertising as that's as far is it will go.

News / Wroclaw man helping police after recent events in Norway [48]

My money is on him being put up to it. Certain no gooders want as much destabilisation as possible so they can up the police presence and move towards a Balkans style havoc. As for a Polish man being involved, it was likely an innocent business supply. You are not going to state that you want to blow up people so business was business.
