Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

ok if we are doing stereotypes......;}

Greek men.....have hairy backs and live with their mothers who have hairy lips and chins
Italian men....have their own blood pressure machines and go to Accident and Emergency if they have a cold; ditto re mothers;
Polish men.......alcoholic wife beaters who will quite happily watch their pregnant sister carry home a new carpet on their backs while they drink some more vodka with their mates. Ditto re mothers.......

etc etc repeat til fade.

Language / Polite forms in Polish vs English [49]

Work / Salary expectations in Poland [373]

And before anyone comments about slave labour in the UK, all races are paid the same in every job here regardless of where they are from.

Jersey is NOT THE UK.
And you know very well thats not true.

UK, Ireland / English teenager refused service at Polish shop [87]

I can't believe it's true. This must have been made up by BNP. I know how it is to have a shop. You will sell to anyone just to get a profit. Especially in the small food shop where profit margin is small you value any customer who comes. Unless of course you think he or she may steal something. Then the story is different and that might be the case here.

right maciej, this story stinks of BS and BNP

Life / Russian rap vs Polish rap [87]

Randal I really no longer have any idea what your fevered ranting means, in fact I seriously think you might be off your trolley. I meant to appreciate exactly which group Ali G is parodying you probably have to come from London, England, not East Bumfuk Dakota.>}

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

you say "Poh Land" to make the pronounciation clear, and they still hear "Holland".

they do sound similar if you say them quickly is if they rhyme...I was very confused in Poland when somebody asked me in English if I was from Holland...I was like...er...no, dont you hear my pidgin Polish?

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Juche:
Also famous incident of Polish cavalry charging German tanks on horseback is popular misconception - they were not attacking but try to break out of an area where they were surrounded, sword were still popular accessory of army offcier in the 1930s. But stupid Amerrican propaganda expanded on sterotype and this myth snowballs to this day. Very stupid!

Even propaganda movie made showing the "charge", old style cut and paste, shown to Western youth in history lessons for brainwash purposes

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

And if someone asks about such silly and dumb questions about Poland is simply idiot for me who lives in backwardness and obscurantism. Before asking let's they learn some basic things about geography. Just horror!

You seem a bit hot under the collar about it....I suppose all of us are asked "silly and dumb" questions about our countries from tme to time. Certainly I have been about UK. Well at least people are asking questions. no need to judge so harshly.

Love / What do Polish guys think of Irish girls? [187]

apalled by the fact that british women get notoriously drunk, are chain smokers and cuss all the time, i have nothing against occasional swearing but vulgarity of this level is something else, especially in a woman.

whereas polish men are well known teetotall, no smoking ,clean talking, generally lovely well balanced and fragrant angels...,,mmmm..:)
