News / Don't let Poland become like my country, France. [630]

I agree with him but Muslim women don't see it that way and will want to wear that Burqua despite Sarkozy. Can you really keep someone in jail for wearing a burqua? It's not like it's a major offense.

News / Don't let Poland become like my country, France. [630]

I've got no doubt about it.

I'm not that confident. Besides, France is so secular anyway. It's just like all those other western European countries. The European countries along the Mediterranean will have the most Muslims because of proximity to Islamic African nations. France will be secular except for the growing muslim populations which will try to change things. France has already had Sharia law issues, hasn't it?

It's only a matter of time before Sharia is allowed in.

News / Grafitti plague in Warsaw [84]

That is some mighty impressive looking graffiti! Ours is crap compared to some of this artwork! If you are going to do it, do it right or don't do it at all!

Food / Polish food at home or out? [57]

The prossessed food industry has gotten rich off of the "lowfat" scam, wherein they remove fat from a food item and replace it with processed carbohydrates

Not cheese and dairy products. They are made from low fat milk and skim and are better for you than products made from whole milk. Low fat beef is beef with the fat trimmed away and parts of the steer that are naturally lean, like brisket. It's better for you than the cuts with fat.

Do you prepare Polish food at home?

Frozen pierogies from the grocery store freezer.

First of all Indians live in India, the indigeneus people of US are NATIVE Americans.Second thing is that we are discussing assimalation with INDIGENEUS population and I see you are not assimilated at all.Have you even ever been to pow wow?

For one thing, they might have come from India at some point since many of them are Asian in origin. Mound people were from Europe, I read.

I have been to a huge native American festival downtown. You could call it a powow. A lot of stomp dancing does go on.

USA, Canada / US citizenship via US Army [50]

Hmm, I didn't know they could become citizens by serving in the army. I knew they talked about that in the congress but didn't know it was made law. Is this entirely accurate or just conjecture?

USA, Canada / Better life in USA or Canada? - expats opinions and your comparison [143]

bike sales

You can go far on a bike and fast, too. Riding a bike is a quick way to get someplace without burning gas. I only drive a car because everyone else does. If hardly anyone drove and everyone rode bikes, I would join them because it's so cheap and good exercise. The only reason I don't now is I don't want to get run over.

Feedback / Why are there so many on here, who do not like Poland [150]

The people who complain about Poland don't care either way. They want something to complain about so they start typing stuff about Poland to get a reaction. If they ask why Polish people are rude, hundreds of posts will be made about why or why they are not rude. It's the quickest way to get many responses on a thread. Just say something negative about Poland and everyone will have an opinion and post it.

News / Drug Policy Reform in Poland [29]

Prohibition is a failure.

But not as big a failure as no regulation whatsoever. Nothing is perfect in life. You do the cost/benefit analysis and take the lesser evil.

News / Drug Policy Reform in Poland [29]

Thought I would weigh in. Drugs, are the most fun you can possibly have. There is a time to experience them, then, put them down an move on with your life and generally be an adult.

Maybe the most fun for you but not for everyone. Some people can't stand them. Even some teenagers hate them. Everyone's different.
