Law / Car Insurance in Poland (A/C) [32]

Go to a place where they can offer you insurance so they can search. You do not have to buy - but go there for advice anyway.

Work / A decent paid job for native english speaker in Wrocław - no university qualifications [9]

Prospective students want someone who has formal teaching qualifications and a degree. You have neither, so the chances of private students are very minimal.
I said this before, (but you ignored it) that your best bet is to look for jobs in Wroclaw, there are shared centres in Wroclaw and there maybe jobs there for you, but it all depends on your skills.

Real Estate / Buying a house in Poland. How realistic is the seller's pricing? Discount negotiation. [6]

The 10% I quoted is a general guide for buying from someone else. This is what you should have over and above any price.
If you want to build a house from new - ask the right people. In the end, unless you are a competent negotiator, know all the rules and regulations - it will cost you more. If you want to buy from a developer...you have to be very careful that you don't pay any money up front and the developer goes bankrupt and you lose all your money. You will find plenty of newly built houses - it is up to you to negotiate the price with the developer, but generally they will not budge with the price. Also be careful whether you are buying a ready to walk into, or just the basics without any finishes.

Real Estate / Buying a house in Poland. How realistic is the seller's pricing? Discount negotiation. [6]

Try more websites and also a magazine 'Nieruchomosci (I know one comes out in Krakow, must be the same for other towns).
Obviously, if you go out of the town centres the prices will be lower and with good links having to travel 30 minutes to the town is no big deal.

The sellers can very often be knocked down on price if you offer cash for the property (say 10-15%) . If you go through an estate agent (biuro nieruchomosci) remember that it will cost you at least 5% for their trouble.

Always add 10% on top of the price for legalities (Akt Notarialny, taxa, Vat)

Food / Where to find a good bottle of wine in Poland? [18]

In Krakow, there is a shop on ul. Karmelicka (near to al. Slowackiego) which has a wide selection of all wines you could possible desire. Even non-alcoholic ones.

Work / Salary expectations in Poland [373]

The calculations are correct. You must find a website which explains the Polish tax system. The brutto gained each month is added up, as the next tier of income tax kicks in after (I think) 85,000. You will notice also that above an amount per year you do not contribute further towards parts of the insurance.

Law / Settting up ''self-employed'' status in Poland [9]

They need your tax office number. This should be on your last payslip or on any correspondence. They will check with them. Better to tell the truth now than later.

Life / Which receipts of over 10zl participate in Official National Lottery to win an Opel Astra in Poland? Thank you [20]

No. To simplify:
The lottery works like this. In June (from the 1st to the 30th) you enter all receipts for June. You can do them daily or all on the 30th June. They do the draw for all June receipts in July.

In July (from the 1st of July to 31st July) you enter all receipts. They do the draw in August.
In August (from the 1st to 31st August) you enter all receipts. They do the draw in September.
If you have all your receipts to hand, it takes about a minute, once you are signed in.

Genealogy / General Marian Langiewicz from Poland. [3]

First in any research you need: dates, places, names of all people connected, marriage, children, any movements (i.e. left this town to go to another, left this country to go to another), affiliations to any societies, war records, army records - only then can someone try and help.

Giving a name without anything else is a long shot.

Love / Polish mother of my child - 'No money, no daughter' - ADVICE NEEDED [46]

Please read my post above.
But once again:
1. You have to have PROOF that you are the father (evidence to be taken to court)
2. You have to take her to court for visitation rights/custody.
3. You have to have a lawyer/solicitor to fight your case.
4. You have to have EVIDENCE that you have supported her and the child and that she has prevented you from seeing the child. EVIDENCE means all paperwork, copies of everything.

5. You have to come to court with 'clean hands' i.e. NO evidence against you - here, the fact that your name is not on the birth certificate and the way you acted will be used against you. You have to get ready for a real fight.

Travel / Polish LOT class "U" ticket cancel [4]

The only thing I can find out is that 'U' refers to the distance of 125 mil which can be credited to your Miles and More programme.

Cancellations depends on too many things: how many days before the flight, method of purchase,...you should ring the airline and ask.

Love / Polish mother of my child - 'No money, no daughter' - ADVICE NEEDED [46]

My advice:
1. Find a really good solicitor/lawyer to fight your case.
2. You must have confirmation that the child is yours (i.e. evidence) then you can fight for custody.
3. It shows once again, that without a marriage certificate...you are in a sticky situation.
4. Tel her that you have as much right to see the child as she does and that you will make sure that you get full custody of the child as you will drag her through national and international courts.

5. I do not need to tell you that you need to gather sufficient evidence to support your view that she is an unfit mother for doing what she is doing to you. Keep evidence of every communication to show to the courts.

Love / Do Polish guys tend to take things slow with regards to sex? [44]

I was surprised too at the variety of 'creams' available in a well-known German chemist. I never thought that I would see the day when 'gels' (and we all know what they are used for) are so freely available. This suggests to me that there is a market for these products, people must be getting more adventurous.

Law / Polish Visa, Work Permit, Residency for Spouse of Polish Citizen [69]

Some men only married their wives because they wanted an EU spouse. Once they get an EU nationality they will leave this wife and marry one from their own culture. Simples!.

If they asked their EU wife about nationality/how long etc...the wife might suspect something. (And you don't need to be Columbo to suss that one out)

Study / How long can students stay in a university in Poland? [11]

Anyone can study for 40 or 50 years as long as you have the money to pay for the courses. There is nothing stopping you from being a student from the age of 18 to 90. EXCEPT one thing - you must have the money to do it and p.s. you must live and eat.

Life / A rumour about the need to give passport copy when you buy a prepaid sim number in Poland? [23]

Remember this: It is easy to control people when you know all their secrets.......

next.gazeta.pl/next/7,151243,20351952,ustawa-antyterrorystyczna-weszla-w-zycie-daje-ci-trzy-tygodnie.html#MT2

Have just read the article. From today anyone buying a SIM card has to provide ID, and the card has to be registered within 3 weeks of purchase. For the others, they have till 1st February 2017 to register their card. Otherwise the card will be cut off.
