Ok just looking what Poland did without all this cut off from the world we did ok considering that. After 20 years of development people abroad sending money and business people investing Poland will still be better off if they shut the gates than it would have been without this period. You people should do us a favour and stop the negative talk and put on a positive face to help the cause. I will be there in December again to hunt more business. I have a percentage of money here that I use to help there and hopefully make some profit too. I feel like I am doing at least my share. When there at the end of the year I will be looking for a new purchasing person to give a job to. I doubt this will lead to superpower but that's not an aim. Small steps will pay off.

Gosc you are right I am a long way away. I am out of touch but not completely just partially. Anyway regardless of this I will continue to invest a safe percentage of what I can there. Superpower is a silly description. Comparing Poland to corrupt Greeks and all that is a sad joke, Poland is a good performer in EU, Greece is deluded. I should point out some things. If you are going to have some tasty junk once a week as a treat for you or the kids that's good. That's becaue you should. Bit of a naughty treat is great. But if you are addicted and start replacing this for food...look out.

Secondly the real benefit of not having an outlet near you is that it removes you looking at it every day as an option. Every time lots of parents drive past with kids the little ones want to stop there. So it's constant pressure and parents cave in exchange for peace and quiet. If it's not there pressure is reduced and consumption is reduced. There is still a chance to do it like this in poland, to limit approval rate and the position where these shops are located.

What I am saying is government sanctioned death is legal. Also what I have seen work is when they try to develop a junk food outlet in your suburb and the residents protest it often stops construction. I know of several places here where this has worked.

We have a big ice drug problem here. It ties up hospital times and kills australians. Than we have a mc sheit, spew fc and other junk in every single town where its profitable in prominent places. Msg isn't nice. Not that I am going to criticise it from here where I live where we have massive obesity problems, fatness being the major cause of death now and hospital burden, where a nutjob government gave the food industry its own regulation powers and the same for junk adverts to kids. The junk food ads have doubled kids are fatter ands its costing billions. They were quick to tax smoking due to health but haven't got the gonads for the food industry. Its an utter failure. So if you are there and licked blocks of msg daily you would still be better off than here where apparantly 33% of daily calorie intake of so called adults comes from utter junk. In fact poland should use australia as an example of failure in this department and study it so they can avoid it. What use to be a bronzed ozzie is now more like a bronze whale.

Rafal has a good point. Poles have never been too quick to want to rule all other people. This is because there is something fundementally inhuman about it. Personally in my eyes poland is a superpower when it can protect.its borders.completely on its own. Now we all know polands neighbours can be very errrr 'crafty', so its quite a task. There is no point getting land to the east it will always be unstable and distabilize the whole country. @tseug...In the debates I had with people and also in the general media the concensus seems to be that you either agree or you are wrong With those who support. In their views it is unthinkable that someone would oppose this lifestyle. They appeared and still do as fanatics to me. I don't like any fanatics and view with suspecion groups or individuals relentlessly pushing their agenda. I usually oppose them so no diff here. Not that it makes any diff I won't have any effect on the outcome. All citizens are covered by the same law it doesn't matter if u commit crime vs a hetro or gay. Peoples attitudes cannot be solely changed by law in any society but it does have an effect. The Irish have opened debate world wide including here it's hot on the subject atm except we don't need referendums as we don't have to change constitution. Also the gay community here doesnt want referendum because they know it will never get up. Instead they are counting on a decision in parliament to amend act as the politicians dont really know what most think. So they have a strategy which will allow them this without consent from the public. Typical pro gay rubbish. Anyway, at this rate we will be next and unlike the Irish we won't have a say.
