Work / (IT field) moving from India to Poland -Wroclaw in May '11 [46]

I know the law in Poland is a mess and that's enough for me to know

Apparently not. You also don't know anything about global economics, politics and How Poland benefits from current situation.

We will change it

Who are you ?

Polish people are angry and tired of

Hey I live in Poland unlike you. I don't see angry and tired people around.

Polish patriots will take over the power and bring the country

God save Poland then if all those patriots are as ignorant as you.

Feedback / Why PolishForums? Give us your stories! [60]

I got a job offer from Poland and found PF in google while searching information about the country. I am living in Poland now almost for 2 years. I can say if you search for general information about the country, PF is not the right place, It creates very negative image which is not realistic. On the other hand it is good if you try to find specific information or has nothing else to do.

grubas

Stupid comments as usual. Unemployment rate is not high for IT. It's employer decision to decide who to hire and in same level of competency and experience they will for sure choose Polish candidates. Business(money) has no nationality, if you are competent, willing to learn more, hard working you can work anywhere in the World (especially in IT). I am working in an international company with Polish people, I can say they are unbiased and fair.

Study / An electrical engineering student from Turkey wants to study in Poland [17]

I was surprised how similar the food can be!

I don't agree.

turk engineer

If you are from a coastal region of Turkey, first thing you need to worry about is the weather(in both countries). Weather forecast says it is -5 today but I feel at least -20.

Very true. Turks add lemon to everything. Even to a chicken soup! LOL

If you are talking about lemon, You should see the Iranians :). They are eating beef, lamb and chicken (we also have some dishes you can add lemon but not everything )adding lemon which was very strange for me.

Travel / A good kebab place in Warsaw? [45]

A good kebab in Warsaw

I am Turkish and in my opinion best Kebab(doner) in Warsaw is Efes (Aleja Niepodległości 80. near Raclawicka metro station ).

No such thing as a "Good Kebab"

It is unhealthy anyway but there are some very very very delicious Kebabs (not in Warsaw).

Love / What are the most popular ethnicities for Polish women [90]

in PF many people talk about racism

It is the problem of PF. I am living in Poland for last 1.5 years in Poland and never experienced or felt any racist behaviour towards me. I am working with Polish people I can also say my colleagues are very fair and open minded. So the question was strange for me.

When a person from my country comes in, maybe you welcome because you want to relate yourselves with Europe. So I wondered what happens with people from Africa or South America or Asia comes to your place ... how you treat them.

There won't be any difference. We don't want to relate ourselves with anything we will be ok no matter what.

dont like to make comments putting people down. Dont

Yeah, In my opinion best to visit there. For me differences between nations is not that visible. I only care personality and I am glad I have friends from many different nations and each new person (from a different nation) I know so far has proven me my above thesis is correct.

Love / What are the most popular ethnicities for Polish women [90]

What is your behavior to them? ... how things work out?

Strange question, not really different than any other people. In touristic places they will be seen as source of income (ripp off is possible if you are not carefull).

In small cities they will be met with curiosity and hospitality.

In general, It is really a small possibility to experience anything unpleasant and most people will try to help you.

You are very open minded person I would suggest you to visit there and let us know what is your impression.

I only saw a few Turks here and they were not known for positive reasons

What they were known for ?

Not many of them permanently.

But 25.5 million tourists visited Turkey in 2009
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism
I am sure there were some Mexicans, Africans, Indians, Chinese and East Asians.

Its nearly impossible to find any marriage between polish m and turkish f,

I met some Turkish girls who are dating with Polish guys here but never met a married couple (good for Polish guys, just joking :) ).

Because a Muslim woman can only marry a Muslim man.

Religion is not that important for good majority of Turkish people (Especially in western part of Turkey). I know many Turkish girls who will not care religion if they like the guy.

But the main fact is you don't come to turkey and we don't go to poland for travel, education or anyting. We don't have almost nothing in common. And also religion thing is true.

I disagree with that, we have many things in common. As an important example Poles really care about family and it is very similar to Turkish family tradition. And you are right about the Turkish part but more and more Polish tourists visit Turkey each year.

BTW I am Turkish and living in Poland for 1.5 year.

News / People says that EU bringing many nice things to Poland. Tell me about it [104]

Perhaps the title of the thread should be changed to "The E.U. is bad for Poland, a Slavic Union would be much better." (we wouldn't want their water, wellll unless we were thirsty).

This is the main idea when Crow start the thread. You must be open minded and believe whatever they say without thinking :). So it will never be accepted or taken seriously or discussed by thread starter if you say anything positive about EU. He will wait and collect some nonsense from his older posts and will post them again for his desperate propaganda.

Poles are not free what a BS. It is surprising to see same mindset same claims from ultranationalists of different nations.

Work / Salary for an architect with 3years experience in warsaw [37]

The way you wrote helps further the idea that newcomers don't have to learn Polish

It depends on what you do, You may not need to learn it at all or everything may depend on learning it quick, Poland is 4th country I have stayed more than six months with your logic I would need to be fluent in 5 languages.

And if we talk about English, daily communication is more difficult part but if you are working on some technical subject medium language skills may well be enough to do your work without any problem.

terri

Unfair and irrelevant, everyone is trying judge thread starter's technical capabilities if he succeed to have an interview with an employer his technical skills will queried, he will get the job or not depending on them.

Work / Salary for an architect with 3years experience in warsaw [37]

Aren't you ashamed?

I know basics and although I don't need to use it at work I am trying to learn more (I was zero when I started to work here).

No, I am not ashamed at all. Are you ashamed when you ask stupid questions ?

And if you don't have any answer, just don't waste your time by posting your comments.

It is one big problem in PF but on the other hand If SeanBM is saying it is difficult I wouldn't be very hopefull. IMO he is one of the most reliable member of PF.

convex

Travel / Which nightclub in Warszawa (Warsaw) you could recommend? [13]

The Eve and Platinum

Above two perfectly fits to your description (Platinium is better). I would also add Opera but unfortunately there are too many stairs to go in.

Not in same class but Dekada and Enklawa is also not bad.

Work / English teacher from Turkey, have any chance to work in Poland? [71]

If so, it's a type of arrogance I welcome!

Yes unfortunately what Delphian and Amathyst says here is pure arrogance, Thread starter is not asking if her English is good enough to teach English(she also stated that Turkish is another option), She is willing to move Poland and is trying to understand if she can find a job in Poland.

No you have zero chance is an answer. But if you query some other points it means there is lack of understanding, and thread reader should better think about his/her basic understanding skills.

Work / English teacher from Turkey, have any chance to work in Poland? [71]

Turkish isn't much sought after here.

Yes but also not too many Turkish people is seeking a position to teach Turkish in Poland so she may have a chance.

turkishgrl

Magdalena's links maybe helpfull, You can mail or call them and ask if there is any open position and what are the requirements, Since you are native in Turkish and have a degree for teaching English you may have a chance (they may ask for some additional certificate).

Work / English teacher from Turkey, have any chance to work in Poland? [71]

I'm looking for english or turkish teaching position in Poland

Yes I guess it is very difficult to find a teaching position unless you are native in English. And for Turkish not zero (but very close to zero) but there is very small possibility to find something.

I think Turkish is not difficult as Polish, I met some Polish people here with almost perfect Turkish skills.

Why do you want to work in Poland ?

News / Poland hosts lowest proportion of foreigners in the EU [115]

I was trying to write something similar but you perfectly explained the situation. Your knowledge about the subject is really impressive. What matters is not religion but Political influence.

Love / How to find an English speaking boyfriend in Poland [110]

so what options do I have ? Any tips anyone?

There are some expat groups that you can find in facebook. Some are really active and they even organize trips (irregular but quite often) to different parts of Poland, you can subscribe and try to attend their activities.

News / Newsweek's The World's Best Countries (Poland ranked 29) [128]

and my Polish friend said they can feed at least 3 or 4 people by cooking at home with that amount of money based on their income

Ah again your mysterious Polish friends who are starving to death. Why don't you try to be honest and explain the real story. Your Polish BF cheat you ? Some schoold children had fun with you ? Some old people throw a brick on your head ?

Why not help out and address the points in the post?

Do not have that much time but only below point is enough.

The only thing that can rival western standard is prostitution and night club.

When you read Aussie's post what do you think the aim ? Is she/he trying to contribute something or trying to draw attention ?

History / Polish-Turkish alliance. Is it mistake, joke or real love? [35]

Poland doesn't care about the Balkans...

I agree with this.

ts official Poland who positioned Poland in alliance with Turkey.

Alliance may be a too strong word, but we have good relations. Maybe you are not aware but Turkey also has good relations with official Serbia.

Poland should coordinate with Serbia

Why not

deep inside of me i even think of them as deluded germanized former Serbs/Slavs)

Which shows you are also stupid deep inside you.

Polish-Turkish alliance is just wrong in time when Turkey took part in dissolution of Yugoslavia and attack on Serbia

Lies again, be a man for once and admit that your greedy politicians and soldiers wanted to play a game to have more power but they lost it.

This situation telling me that Poles don`t rule Poland. If Poles rule Poland this would be simple impossible

Poles rule Poland but they are living in a real world not in your dreams.
