Law / DELL shifting ops from Ire to PL [30]

I just heard on a podcast that Dell is try to save $4bln by mostly outsourcing from the US.

It seems £ódź has another reason why it is set to boom in the next few years.

News / What's the stupidest question asked about Poland? [414]

??

The same reason I am asked them. A lot of English people know little or nothing about Poland, those of us English who have visited Poland are asked questions sometimes.

What's your problem with that?!?

You have to be Polish to know something about Poland now?

OK, obviously PolskaDoll has a lot of knowledge about my country and so you do. Perhaps more than me. LOLOLOL Hands up.

Yes but that's not what you said now is it. Sidestepping. Don't be ambiguous.

I'm off to bed

Yes. Ok. Goodnight.

News / Poland Should Beef Up Military [286]

like this one?

Yes, I prefer the 7.62mm, the stopping power is tremendous! I'd prefer the A3 version though as I hate retractable stocks.

As for something smaller for CQB I'd use the HK UMP-45.

Smaller still...

Glocks mainly, a Glock 30 again a .45

As you can tell I'm a bit of a gun/special forces nut.

I'd like to know more about Polish special forces though I have lent all my books to my little brother.

Life / Does Poland have an equivalent to Amazon.com? [18]

Yeah.. I asked a friend and he said there is Allegro but as you said it's more like eBay and dare I say a little dodgy?!? I don't know because I have not used it, though once I nearly did to buy some software when I broke my computer in Poland.

I was thinking more of an Amazon approach you know with a guaranteed quality of goods and several delivery options.

Love / English girl. Do Polish men afraid to show their feelings or they are just not comfortable in UK? [84]

the guy wants to spend time with his mates, they probably don't speak good English, the girl doesn't speak Polish, what's the fun in that?

make her feel left out.

Exactly!

To be honest we don't have a clue what is going on! why doesn't she just......ASK HIM!

This is probably a 1 minute discussion between 2 people in a relationship and instead now it's a forum discussion.

Not being rude but JUST ASK HIM!

;)

ukgirl

Just a thought:

Maybe he is just thinking it won't be much fun for you, I mean of the Poles I've known they generally live with other Poles and then where they live they have a few parties etc but generally there are only Polish people there and they only speak in Polish. Maybe he is just aware of that fact that you might feel left out because you don't understand what is going on...

(I'm making the presumption you don't speak Polish)

Language / Word order and swearing in Polish [44]

kurde

From all the people I've met this is the only one I've heard.

Actually thinking about it I have heard "kurcze"

I have also heard "Ja pierdikam" and realised it wasn't bad. Kinda like "Bloody hell" I guess.

szarlotka

I am, as it may seem, a twat sometimes. I had no intention of really arguing with anybody on this forum things just kind of went that way...

I will try to behave myself more often.

I do however try to make a positive contribution to the forum, maybe I am just walking over ground that has been walked over before?

I am not unfortunately an intellectual and never have I claimed to be, if I do not know about a topic I will not enter into it. There are many threads on this forum which I will not debate on for this reason.

Anyways... If I piss any of the decent members off such as yourselves, please just tell me to check myself and I will do so.

London buses.... here comes another one. Your user name is very, very similar to my initials which confuses me....

Actually it's my initials forwards then backwards but anyways, I'm happy to get my first mention.
Keep it up Szar.

Language / Pimsleur's Polish Lessons [38]

is the Michael Thomas Foundation CD that good?

It is good but the womans attitude and voice grinds me after a while I found using the equaliser on your media player makes her sound better.
