I think that you are being a put off by the religious display and entourage of demonstrators, I think that you simply don't understand Poles, religion present there is like a passport presented to the nation - we are not some punks but patriots !Its all there is !

It's just

One of a history ironic is a fact that tolerance or not, nice and fair or not a state have to strong, cynical, and armed to the teeth - otherwise risk to be erased from existence with no reaction.

So, its not on foremost mind to be tolerant or whatever you mean by that, and secondly you are wrong, Poles are proud of being tolerant country in the past and in the present alike.

What Kaczynski has to do with anything - is lost on me!

Hey, although I don't agree with the Zimmy's quest on PF. I must say that men are prejudiced against, it's taken for granted that women are better qulified to take care of children, or that they're entitle to a houseband's money in case of a divorce.

Well, they've Polish stamp on American culture granted, a few characteristic and notable Poles in the American History. For most of the Pol Ams that is enough as the prevalent culture is dictated by the everyday language and its intrinsic features and limits.

Few bulbs on empire state building is rather an expression of a practical nature of an American, those states like Britain and Germany do play important role in the political, cultural and economical interest of the USA.

Lack of Poland is just visual appreciation of the fact that Poland is secondary and not so important player on an American practical firmament!
