Life / Laser hair removal in Katowice or Poland in general? [5]

"Wyszedł sobie raz na spacer wielki cesarz Chin"

I've checked google for this quote, but no results. And the spelling seems right in Polish. I'm not sure however about those phrases: "paraglajskich czin" and "Nic to cesarz Chin, mona wszystko klin." Maybe paraglajskich should be paragwajskich, but it still doesn't say much to me (and to google), sorry.

Food / Whats with pomegranate everywhere in abundance in Poland now? [6]

Season for this fruit is from September to February, so it is still going. It's winter, our domestic fruits are not as accessible as before (maybe besides apples). So it's time for exotic fruits - like pomegranates, lychees and kakis.

So you should go to Urzad Skarbowy in Poznan. Only your current address is important for them. For tax purposes only place of residence matters - ie. the place where the taxpayer resides with the intention of permanent residence.

Travel / Poland's best winter tourist destinations - educational - info - joy [5]

Now south-west edge of Poland - Szklarska Poreba.
Great location in the foothills of Jizera Mountains - Harrahov (Czech Republic couple of kilometers). Germany also not too far away. Very close Karpacz city.

On the place - good base for skiing - Ski slopes for beginners and intermediates. For the advanced I'd rather recommended Harrahov more - nice ski jumping hill overthere ;)

It's worth to mention that in Szklarska Poręba Jakuszyce are great cross-country ski trails, where often trains Justyna Kowalczyk and were organised FIS Cross-Country World Cup races.

Accommodations are not expensive - even from 30PLN for a night but during holidays the place is packed.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants in Southwest Florida (Sarasota, Tampa, Venice, Englewood, Ft. Meyers) [8]

It seems to me that there's not great place and time for such Polish business in the USA. Recently has been closed a nice Delilah's Garden Polish Restaurant in Fort Myers, and to my knowledge one (and only in this area?) that remains is Pierogi Grill & Deli in Clearwater.

Law / Polish residency card - how long to request a new card after losing the old one? [4]

First, she should promptly notify about this fact the voivode that issued this card. This should be up to 3 days from the date of loss. Then the application is made for the replacement of residence card. She need to fill an application, submit two recent photos 4,5 cm × 3,5 cm, proof of identity and citizenship (1 photocopy + original available for inspection). It is also often required to provide a proof of notification to the Police about the loss of this document.

After proper application she'll receive a certificate (free of charge) that confirms this fact.
Deadline:

The voivode shall issue a decision immediately after the investigation procedure within 30 days from the date of filing.

Work / Malpractice Insurance price in Poland - I'll be working as an intern doctor [2]

As far as I know, as an intern you are not obliged to buy insurance, since as an employee you use insurance of your employer. If you are employed under an employment contract, all benefits, protective clothing, researches are sponsored by the institution with which you have signed a contract of employment. Mandatory contract or own business is an another issue - then you should worry about everything yourself.

Price of such insurance depends on the specific duties and activities made by you as an intern doctor and also varies in different regions of Poland.

News / Doctors' surgeries and many clinics closed here in Poland - pretty chaotic [9]

The abolition of oncology limits and the fight against queues - these are just some of the demands set by the doctors of Zielona Gora Agreement. The Federation has published a list of six points, with the implementation of which is willing to fight in the talks with the Ministry of Health. But that do not end their demands.

1. The abolition of oncology limits.

The limit is only 30 patients in 3 months.

2. Abolition of the possibility of unilateral modification of a contract by the NHF

3. Changing insurances verification rules by the NHF

Many patients recognized by the NHS system as unauthorized actually has the right to insurance.

4. Restoration of the existing model of care for patients with diabetes and chronic diseases of the circulatory system

5. Restoration of the right to treatment at the dermatologist and eye specialist without any referral

Referrals cause only queues being transferred for family doctors "without shortening in the specialist clinics."

6. We do not want queues in PHC (Promary Health Care)

Due to lack of agreement between the Ministry of Health and Zielona Gora Agreement (that brings together GPs) on contracts for 2015, some physicians after January 1 did not open their clinics and offices. Conflicting points include: family doctors new responsibilities related to the entry into force of the oncology package and funding POS.

Travel / Beware GTI Travel in Poland [2]

This company has closed.

This year's first major tour operator bankruptcy is already behind us. GTI Travel Poland, as well as Sky Club, collapsed in the time, in which for most Poles seem so inappropriate, that can only be explained as "scam". Sad farewell message combined with how-to instructions for affected customers has replaced on the GTI Poland website color photos and travel offers. And only on the company facebook profile we can still watch stopped like insects in amber recent activity manifestations of employees. It is hard to believe that even on June 3, two days before the bankruptcy, they were so optimistic, not-heralding disaster. Mystification, hoax or just ignorance the staff? Customers have no doubt, and in posted comments still appears also wishes for employees. We wish all the worst.

It will be hard to find him if you don't know a place where your dog was taken.

I think that their destination wasn't Poland at that time - it was Austria. From 1867 to 1918 existed the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Among the foreigners absolute leader and the Polish city first choice turned out to be Krakow - in finding accommodation in the capital of Malopolska were mostly interested Italians, Germans and Spaniards.
