UK, Ireland / Polish TV channels in the UK [95]

You *Might* have to do what millions of expat people living in foreign a country do.. Watch the native TV.

I know Freeview, SKY+ with it's 1000's of channels entertainment/movies/sport, and the world renowned BBC might be slumming it a little.. but maybe you can source your favorite Polish shows on youtube, or the web?

makes me laugh this story.

I'm a member of the social networking site "badoo". the site has many eastern europeans living in the UK. it's a kinda multi language networking site.

If you look at some of the Polish women's profiles, click on their pictures.. all you see is a barrage of "wow hunny you're so beautiul" messages from arabs and pakistanis :)

UK, Ireland / Is UK the new cradle of antipolonism? [161]

Well im from Wales so im a "celt" not saxon.

Sausages are just a product we have with bacon, or something.. no big deal. The poles seem to worship them lol.

The Pakistanis have been here for years. There lack of integration is kind of acceptable now because they're from a stone-age backwards society. They are Islamic (say no more hah)

It's saddening to see the same behavior from the poles. fellow Europeans/

I actually quite like the Indians, i think they integrate well. I've been in some Indian homes, they're just as British as us aside from the cuisine they hold dear to and the family values about daughters meeting men too early. They're OK. I love some of the Asian stores you find in Birmingham love the spices and herbs useful to cook curry with!

I prefer Indian curry to stinky polish sausages that you can buy in Lidl, or Aldi anyways. But thats just me :P

I'm not bothered really about the poles taking our money.. our country is wealthy enough.

After all we send the likes of India 1Billion in aid every year so they can fund their military and nuke arsenal :D :D haha

I just wish the Poles would integrate more and be normal immigrants. Theres people out there who hve worked here since 2004 and they cannot write a word of English.

They don't need to they're offered translators when they go to claim benefits LOL Laughable.

I'm not against Poles..

I'm against the Floodgates. The easy benefit system (for natives and foreigners)

The worsening economy and joblessness in the UK does not mean the Eastern Europeans return home. It just means we have more welfare scroungers.

The Brits in Spain argument is laughable. The majority of the Brits are retired, living of their pension in the sun. They are a net asset, they bring money in, and they don't send money home to the family.

The British are a skilled expat community, they take specialist skills, or they take money.

Most of the time they are in the ex-colonies, where you HAVE to have needed- skills, or money to get in. Simples
Oh we speak the same language. Always a bonus.

Australia 1,300,000
Spain 761,000
United States 678,000
Canada 603,000
Ireland 291,000
New Zealand 215,000
South Africa 212,000
France 200,000

Simple maths. We don't need you.

I'm not sure why you are calling me scum ....

I wouldn't class the Polish people who come here as "decent" people on the whole. Generally the low-lifes who cannot get a job in Poland but want to make good money here.. ie the social underclass

The Poles pre-2004 are fine. Just a normal immigrant community.. obviously there are hotspots where they mainly lived etc But they are just normal people who spoke English, integrated well because they HAD to. they were a tiny minority.

The post-2004 are guilty of trying to bring Poland to the UK. They are xenophobic, extremely nationalistic. If it ain't Polish, it's shite.

Seriously who the hell goes to live in another country, and watches their own TV shows from country of origin LOL
I bet the majorty of Polish households in the UK have a Polish TV Decoder. They don't know anything about the news and the goings-on in the country etc. They don't care.

They only live here for Jobs, and "Benefity".

They hardly socialise, they hate our food, they shop at polish shops. they send their kids to "polish kindergarten"

Jesus Christ, they try and source down Polish Doctors and Dentists LOL.. (WTF is that about? please explain)

The Poles are not good immigrants. The nature of how they arrived in the masses after 2004 dictated how they integrated, or rather didn't integrate.

Polish Cafes, Polish Shops, etc etc

UK, Ireland / Polish love in Britain of the Tracksuit [11]

No malicious hate or xenophobic intent here (calm down poles, polish-lovers and die hard polish wannabes)

You cannot deny the polish love of the tracksuit! Many times i've seen older middle aged Polish people sporting some dodgy-coloured nike tracksuit.
Obviously the young poles wear tracksuits alot as well.. more so than the Brits i think (and that's saying something!)

UK, Ireland / Poles and the English are all the same underneath. Funny really (UK perspective). [8]

You're never going to get a fair argument or points across in this forum.

This forum is full of Poles, Pole-Wannabes, Pole-Lovers and British do-gooder hippies :D
We know how blindly patriotic and self-loving the Polish are :D

The World owes them a favor and since 2004, they've been given access to the British cow to milk. Not alone in this respect, amongst Pakistanis, Somalians etc etc. They're just taking their share. But like all patriotic people, they'll grasp at any little fact to argue that our money, and country is their birthright :D

The Indians/Pakistanis claim we owe them because of the British Empire
The Somalis don't really have a reason so they claim asylum
Well, the polish.. apparently we sold them to the soviet union, after we fought a war in defence of them.. Then there's the 303 squadron - 5% of the RAF. yeah.. say no more.

They are a very different form of immigration and it's going to be interesting in years to come to see what the second generation British-Pole will be like. Bear in mind they have a very patriotic ghetto mentality, and try as best they can to bring Poland to this Island instead of integrating.

The majority of them will have Polish TV decoders in their UK abode. They will shop at Polish stores because our sausages and bread are filthy. They will send their kids to Polish kindergarten, there are Polish doctors, dentists. In the heavily ghettoissed areas. Like Doncaster, Peterborough and Boston they have lots of Polish pubs & clubs.

There's not a lot of interaction/integration going on, except in the workplace & theirs a small minority of poles who have been here since 2004, and have no English-writing skills. And can barely speak a word of it themselves.

UK, Ireland / Is moving to UK now a good idea? - antipolish prejudice of the Brits [231]

If you do move over here, for gods sake do not move to Peterborough of doncaster. Find a nice little town or village where you can settle down and make new friends and integrate properly.

Do not send your kids to "polish kindergarten"
Do not bring your Polish TV decoder over here.
Do not do you shopping in Polish Shops
Do not spend 100% of your social time with other "expats".
Do not exclusively visit Polish Bars or Restaurants.
Have faith in British NHS Doctors and Dentists - Poland isn't ahead in medical expertise you know.

You will thank me for these tips in the future when your English skills are near perfect, you live a more enriched cultural lifestyle having experienced life in two country's..

and more importantly you won't have the embarrassment of asking for a translator when using "public services" such as benefits when it's obvious you've been here years..

Believe me some people do - there are e.European immigrants in this country who have been here for 8 years, and cannot write basic english, and their spoken is very poor as well.

Along with the 5% RAF Polish Squadron
And Polish sausages taste soooo good

I salute the pilot. However obviously is he was British or American, the plane would be a ball of spoke and fire

UK, Ireland / Poles in the UK not a problem as far as i can tell [79]

Few years ago.. not a problem.. just another nation of immigrants blending in as well as the french or germans for example.

But nowadays there's nearly a million Poles here, they are living in ghettoish areas like Doncaster & Peterborough etc

The Poles in Poland are choosing their location in the UK by the number of compatriots already living there.

They're opening/shopping at Polish Shops, you can find Polish Kindergartens, Polish Doctor surgery, Polish Pubs.. more and more reasons not to blend in. More reasons to not learn English. After all they're entitled to a translator whist claiming benefits and other services.

They also watch their Polish TV though satellite decoders.

There are Poles here who have lived here for 8 years, and their lack of English skills are beyond belief.

Simply put.. we don't like that ****. They're becoming more and more like a Pakistani-style of immigrant lol.
