Hi!

I've been considering moving to Warsaw to work in sound design/music production as well as lecturing the same stuff at uni level since I already have a background in academia. I dont speak much Polish and I am studying it using audio tapes :P I know that for media based work I might need to improve my language skills but I guess I can teach classes in english...

Any advice, links, personal experiences to be shared?

Cheers

You have to search really hard at Warsaw Uni to find a course purely in English for your interests. Go on their page and see what they offer, then suggest yourself as a good choice for them.

You can always teach English as a foreign language in schools.

Teaching english is the last on my list but it is also a viable option! Thanks for the input. :) Im gonna check the website XXY provided...

I did find two uni's that deliver the type of courses I want to teach but I think it is only in Polish ;( Is it usual to make an exception in terms of language for visiting lecturers? We do that here in Portugal... By way isn't it a bit odd just 2 media based uni's?

These are the only two places I found that teach audio production related courses:

chopin.edu.pl/angielskie/

afit.edu.pl/

Do you know the average salary of a uni lecturer in Poland?

Cheers,
PD
