After months and months of Red tape my business partner and I received our liquor license from the city of Chicago.
Were planning to be open by the end of the month, if all goes well.
I have contacted the Okocim and Zywiec beer distributors and getting piwo is not a problem.

What I was wondering what Polish Vodkas should I stock?

Zambrowka...Im already going to buy this:)

I`ll have Sterling, Grey goose, ketel one, Absoult, the basics of course.

What other Polish wodka should I get?

Anything in Poland I can probably get here in Chicago, they sell spyritus here:)

Go with dtaylor's suggestion too. The sweet vodkas go down well with them. Poland tends to have clear vodkas, unlike Finlandia and Absolut.

Good luck Sledz :)

No worries. If you ever meet a girl called Ania Topolska, please say hi to her from me. She's the bar going type. I worked with her here.

Infuse your own vodka. It's easy to do: just put the ingredient you want to infuse into the vodka bottle and leave it for a week or two. Good ones to start with include vanilla, pepper, chilli, ginger and rose.

A bar here in Warsaw has 115 types of vodka in stock year round plus another 20 or so seasonal infusions.

There was a vodka bar in my home city of Aberdeen over a decade ago. It went under but it was relatively popular and I guarantee that it'd be a hit now.

It had standard vodka in all manner of flavours, ranging from Mars Bar vodka to Red Kola vodka. There were always ladies there waiting to experiment with the huge selection.

Sledz, you should have a sampling night. That'd peak people's interest and, though expensive initially, would make you money in the long run.

You are thinking of Stalin, LOL. No, it was just called The Wodka Bar. Wodka being with English pronunciation.

Liquor? You bet I did ;) Nah, seriously, any operational losses won't last. You are in the best city in America to have a Polish bar. Some say that Chicago is the 2nd Polish city behind Warsaw. It's a running joke here.

Vodka, even if you hiked the prices up a wee bittie, will be drunk because the Poles miss it. Although the copious amounts are overstated, you do miss stuff from home when away. I missed whisky in Japan and was lucky enough to find Suntory Zen, cheap and very good for the price. A total revelation!!

What's your pub's name, Sledz?

My friends mother makes her own spyritus, too bad but I cant legally sell it;(

We not going to be a strictly Martini bar, I want to have a good supply of Polish vodka though, were also going to have Guinness and German beers plus domestics.

Has anybody heard of Pan Deuesz wodka?
I seen Chopin and Dębowa today at the liquor store.

That sounds really exciting ! Good Luck

thank you, Im sure Ill have some good stories for you guys:)

It would be good if it had a Polish connection and some allusion to vodka. Vodka can make you big bucks, Sledz.

I dunno, Vodkania?? Something along those lines

Has anybody heard of Pan Deuesz wodka?

It is Pan Tadeusz, like the epic story. Quite good.

ideas anyone???

How about "Pan Tadeusz" Something close to the hearts of Poles, historic and incidentally, a very good Wodka. You could have all the ladies serving dressed as the beautiful Zosia in her little white peasant blouse like the one in the Polonez scene.

Hey there pgtx, good to see you back :)

Sledz, Vodkania ia a cool name. Like a mix of vodka and spotkania. It's quite short and catchy. I'd go to a pub named that no problem.

Pan Tadeusz, yes, perhaps the best vodka I have tasted here. Very smooth compared to the harshness of others.
