Polish teenager murdered after arriving in UK

to admit this shallow thought, that you only restricted your human understanding of another creation to females from a particular area

"Jareck" - Any shallowness is in your mind and comprehension

I apologise for my shorthand phraseology. Gender is irrelevant, the students were specifically introduced by a mutual friend for the sole purpose of learning English with an English family during holidays.

As my wife is a registered childminder, my entire family has passed Police checks for legal and moral suitability.
Our family hospitality to students has not been restricted to females or Poles and I recommend that foreign nationals use official student schemes when coming to the UK if they have no family connections.

BTW I regard all non-member comments as suspect in motive and content.

Please don,t get the idea that England is a dangerous place to live for Polish people

Condolences to the girls family but UK is no more dangerous than Poland. people can get killed where ever they live and crimes are sadly committed against polish people, but crimes are also committed by polish people.

Here is a case of Wojciech Ciesla, aged 49, who sneaked into the house of single mother Juline Chambers with the intention of robbing her, but he strangled her in the process, right in front of her 15month old son.

I do not wish to demean the murder of Zuzanna but I guess what i'm trying to say is, sometimes there are bad apples in a given bunch and all we can do is pray and hope that we don't become a victim of any serious crime.

It's a big place. There are many areas where I wouldn't walk at any time of the day.

I hope things work out for the family.

I do too. What I really hope for is that my country can curb the rise in violent crime to prevent more inncoecent people having to go through what this poor family are going through now.

With respect, why are you so fixated on this matter? "two posts come on man" It is a little bit over indulgent

Fixated.? not the word i would have chosen , but since you asked i am just a little sad that somebody came to the city that was my home for 20 years and got murdered at the age of 14...If concern for this poor family is fixation then yes i am fixated...

With respect, why are you so fixated on this matter? "two posts come on man

Actually i only posted once...the other post was not from me , i wasn,t aware of the tragedy till i read it...

The latest news is that the guy who was arrested has now been charged with the crime....

i think you can ry and prevent this sort of behaviour without using violence... like people have said that poland is not as dangerous as england there are certain reasons fro this... just as many middle and far eastern countries have very low crime rates:

people respect laws, they are less rebelious, parents have control over children, upbringing of children in school and home is well balanced with good values and behaviours,,

unfortunately in some of the most developed countries like us and uk there are no values, parents have no control......... the TV is the mother and musci is the father.........

in the uk there was a shooting between drug dealers that resulted in the loss of life af an inocent female......... what crime did she commit..

Jareck I fear you may be right. I have always felt safer in mainland Europe/Poland than here in the UK.That said, the UK is hardly the crime ridden nightmare that may be portrayed in some media. Of approximatly 1 1/2 million Poles here over the last few years I can think of around four or five who have come to tragic ends, the lass in Scotland, the young lad in london, the girl shot last week also in london, obviously little Zuzanna and the girl caught up in the london bombings. Wouldnt this compare ,percentage wise to the murder rate in Poland itself? Obviously to die far from home is somehow more tragic but I dont think the UK is any more deadly for Poles than anywhere else. Random acts of violence and drunken/drugged up street crime are ,I would guess far more commen over here though to this countries shame.

the girl shot last week also in london

In case anyone is wondering, this was unfortunately a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. she was an innocent passer-by who got caught in cross-fire. Absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she happened to be Polish. I live in London and yes, we have street crime and certain areas are more dodgy than others.. but dont let that put you off visiting or indeed living here. I believe there is more violence in suburbia (quiet towns) than there is in any City centre.. too many bored teenagers with nothing to do.

oh crikey no,I dont think anyones actually been killed for being Polish here ,yet. The knuckle draggers and scumbags have more clearly defined,ie brown, targets to pick on.

jareck I agree with you whole heartedly but here in America parents or never home to watch their children kids here get into sex have babies earlier are into drugs not show up to school grow up too early.that is most of parents here not all.

I believe in capital punishment.becuase if somebody kills especially a child is to me too sick and should die. its called morals.I think Britain is safer to live then here.

I find it to be sinking to their level... the biggest hypocrisy there is.

Britain has had large influxes of immigrants at various times before; West Indian, Pakistani, Ugandan Asian etc, but now it is the turn of Eastern Europe.

eh??

There were around 1/4 million of us Poles before the EU floodgates opened! :p

I'm Polish and I live and study in Spain,I'm terrified, because what I read is difficult to understand.what is going on in England is far from normal.I hear about such agression from part of British people to Polish people.what about you?you can rarely find a message about British woman raped and murdered in Poland,so why you are behaving in such a brutal way???????a teenager raped and killed, other one raped and murdered, next one raped and burnt alive.in Poland we have much more culture and tolarance as far as I know...unless we consider our nation as very closed and traditional, sometins xenofobic.but we raise our children to be polite and good people, maybe before calling Polish inmigrants ¨trash¨ just think what a peace of¨s*** are you

Over the past 3 years over 1.5 million Polish people have spent time living and working in Britain. As far as I am aware 5 Polish women have been murdered during that time. One was killed by her Portugese boyfriend, one was killed by a paedophile in Scotland, one was killed unintentionally during a gunfight between black youths, one 14 year old girl was killed by a neighbour(now awaiting trial) and the 5th was horrifically killed by burning. These are all terrible crimes but they had nothing to do with the victims being Polish.

If 1.5 million British people came to Poland and lived in the poorer, rougher areas of Polish cities do you think none at all would suffer violence?

I agree that most of the Polish I meet are polite but I know that not all are because there are a small number that have come to the UK and also murdered people.
