40 procent vodka!c'mon guys this stuff that you drink in the uk a mere 37.5% is for children.you gotta get tougher !

this is true, we now have two Polish Vodkas in my local Sainsburys - also I will add that they now sell beetroot soup (Borscht) but for some reason it says its Russian on the label and its in the Kosha section

Yeah, and their Blackpool variant of Lancashire accent surely gives them away :)

now that was funny...slightly cheeky but funny nonetheless

Hey, Russia is awash in petro-rubbel now. Don't you think Russians can afford the latest and greatest in the best of fashion? ;)

Btw. I just imagined that guy in the background on a catwalk, wouldn't that be a fashion statement :)

Back to vodka; a colleague of mine works out of Moscow. His belief is that were it not for Vodka, the Russians would be a violent nation. Maybe 'Mortal' Combat man is living proof of this?:/

There may be a grain of truth in that:

r philosophy in a
tent..

Are the British unable to sold, rivet and cement things for themselves? Who invented cars, the post office, submarines, ships and huge colonies, if not the British (along with the Germans and the French, of course!)

Ships and colonies were invented by the British?
Or did you mean that ships were used by the Romans to get to and colonize Britain?

e used by the Romans to get to and colonize Britain?

Not all of Britain as it happens. The Romans had boats but not mettalic ships which were invented by the British as a by product of the Industrial Revolution.

Steel boats are not an invention. They were a modification of an existing invention which was in use for thousands of years.

Empires existed and fell long before anybody heard about Angles, Saxons, Frisians and Jutes

Quite a lot of what you write lies on the boundary of the idiotic.

Steel boats are not an invention.

Iron boats are indeed an invention. A British one. While boats have been about for tens of thousand of years, it was the British who invented Steel ships. Made of iron.

It may be a point of contention, or even semantics, but the UK invented boats/ships made of very heavy metal stuff....

Now go and stick that in Lech Walensa's pipe! ;)

(note the wink, eh!)

So.... back on track... what are the Poles going to leave as their imprint on UK society... other than me getting pissed at the weekends on Zywiecs. (sorry for the spelling, I can say it better than spell it)

Ah.... looking at your profile, you speak no Polish. Even though you have an Eastern European sounding user name.

Sorry Michal, are you Anglielsku?

Because I find it mighty confusing. Because, well, the biggest arguments about the Poles in the UK is they're taking all the jobs...

... which leaves your point about SS tabs pretty redundant! Or have I got it wrong?
