when i first lived in poland i shared a flat with a german guy just of monte cassino - he was in poland setting up a subsidury for a german company... project management touble shooting type venture...

hes now one of my best friends... i remember his favourite saying of the poles at that time was 'are you stupid or just ignorant?'... not only did he hit the nail on the head, as many young germans do, but he also asks a question very relevent to you and your people ola...

but in your case ola, as someone who hasnt got a clue what they are talking about, i think the answer is both...

P.S. it is so ironic i'm laughing :):):):)

Yes, but what is not fair is that the Poles want it both ways. They want all the rights here in England i.e. to work and have free education and health care as well as a right to buy property but in Poland a British passport holder has no rights at all to anything and that is not a fair playing field.

But your suggestion that Poland should be a special case, and severe restrictions should be placed on buyers in Poland which do not apply to Poles who buy elsewhere, is quite frankly ridiculous, unenforceable and possibly even illegal under EU law. But that's another thread altogether. :)

It should be rule in all Europe not only Poland.

Young germans chose Nasists party recently to be in thir goverment but yeah they are so scool and smarter as you bubba. Why are you so sure you are better than polish people? You only talk talk about being better, smarter, richer etc as if you are trying to convince yourself as it is true. With such a pogarda towards my nation you will feel better in another place so kindly **** off.

Poland opened their market to all Europe, British can do what they like but guess what they do not come here and work but they are trying to speculate and ruin our people with their british pounds. That is unfair that you speculate in our market pushing prices up and not doing anything else while polish young people give you all themselves, their work, education, their lives.

I'm not going to apologise for wanting to buy a 30m2 flat in Poland when Poles are coming over here and are indirectly pricing me out of my estate!

Yes you should feel guilty. Poles come there because they are not able to afford 30m2 in their own country anymore because of "investors" and it is easier to buy a flat in UK for the money earned in UK so they just move. You made your choice, more speculations in Poland, more Polish in UK, closed circle. You decide.

Rubbish. Five years ago, I could afford to buy property in the UK, now I can't, unless I move somewhere where there is no work. Poles start coming over, and all of a sudden I can't afford to live in a poor area any more, despite earning an above-average wage. I earn more than a lot of people, but I can't even afford to buy 12m2 in this city, never mind 30m2. Yet you say it's easier for Poles to buy over here! If Poles keep moving to the UK, there will be lots of empty property in Poland, not more developers. Would you want to invest in a country where everyone is leaving? I wouldn't.

Yet despite all this, I don't resent the new immigrants, because I understand the way the economy works, but you don't. Poles benefit from moving to the UK, I lose because Poles move to the UK, but benefit from moving to Poland.

So it appears that everyone wins except ola123. I think we've found what the real problem is, haven't we. ;) :D

I for one do not speculate in Poland as I am not allowed to as I do not have Polish citizenship. Also, I never asked any Polish people to come to my country.

It is even worse in Poland right now. Your people problems with buying flat do not mean that you have to rape my country and ruin its people. Less property in Poland for polish people, more polish people in UK. Yes it works exactly like that.

Well Ola I know quite a few Polish people working hard here in the UK and then going back home to buy flats/houses with the money they earned in Britain. These people are also responsible for pushing up prices in Poland-just as the many people coming to Britain(and greedy UK landlords) are partly responsible for pushing up UK house prices.

Ive said this before to her but she doesnt seem to understand, aparently it's okay if Polish people push up the house prices with the £ they have taken home and converted into zlt!

but I can't even afford to buy 12m2 in this city

That's not a home, its a garden shed :) Actually my parents garden shed is bigger :) (sorry couldnt resist)

Yes as long they work in my country and live here, which 20% of current polish in UK are going to do after years abroad. Geeeeez I explained that so many times. What is the part you dont get?
Amathyst  19 | 2700

Probably the same part you dont get - it's £'s that are pushing the prices up and these £'s are earnt by Polish people in England, m a y b e i f I t y p e s l o w e r y o u m i g h t u n d e r s t a n d.

But in the final they do live here and work here, so all in all they help our economy, they buy home to live in, not to speculate, while speculations of foreigners who are abroad and will never work in Poland do fek all. Is education in britain really so bad? Can you not see the diference yet? O_o

So... I borrow money to buy a flat in Poland, from a Polish bank, but I earn my money in the UK. I then go to live in Poland, spend my money in Poland, but I'm not contributing to the Polish economy, just taking from it?

If anything, in a situation like this, English people should be complaining that I'm taking money out of the UK economy, not the other way round!

Still, if I leave, there will be more room for Poles in the UK, won't there, and more UK earnings will be going to Poland - so, as I said before, everyone wins! Well, almost everyone. :p

p.s. I'm no speculator, and have no intention of ever owning more than one small property in Poland.

Look, I see that you seek approval in my eyes, that is why you started this thread, you want to be sure that you do no harm to polish people and my confirmation would be a proof for you that you are ok towards us buying a property and that would make you feel better. Unfortunately I am not the judge, I can not say if your actions which you described are good or bad for my country. I can only describe my feelings and this what I see around me.

My family in Poland think I should do it as well. They think it's great that I want to "come home". Clearly, the only approval I seek is from my relatives, not some angry little girl from the internet! :p

How dare you insult the Polish people on this forum, Germans are no friends of the Polish people, nor the English scavengers.

i imagine i have contributed more to polish employment and the economy in the last 6 months than you have, ever

yeah at 5zl per hour cleaning up the mess of you English friends, because no Polish people would visit you Bed and Breakfast house., what a hero your are!

stop being sarcastic towards the country in front of which you should feel guilty.

I could care less if they feel guilty, just like I could care less about buying overpriced Brittish land and whether I am allowed to or not. In fact, I don't even feel like visiting England, a place I remember to have had weather no better than Poland's, food worse than in Poland, and Brittish girls were ugly, fat, and they all speak funny.
