Apparantly there are a shortage of people wanting to become butlers, valets etc.. and they are now actively seeking Polish and other Eastern Europeans to work for them. Just interested to know if any Polish people would want this job? You do get to live in the Palace (well probably the stables), but the pay is crap (about £20k pa after training), the hours long and you would basically be a servant to the royal family.

I think the reason that there are a shortage of British butlers is because we view the Royal Family as an archaic instituion, they have no influence over the country. We need out Government and we like our Queen, but we don't exactly need her as we would have done 2-300 years ago. x

Maybe some people would like this job, thats what Im interested to know. Personally I think the royal family are a drain on the taxpayer and only useful as a tourist attraction, but thats only my opinion.
