why not.if you are single, rent a room and you also can save a lot of money.
rooms in holland? if you're a student, a prostitute or an illegal, then okay, that might work. for me? in this region? nope, no rooms for available for a dutch working fellow. so I have to rent an appartment. cheapest appartments in this area? I think 600. and that's if you're lucky, because you'll have to react on the housemarket's and coorporates offer, and you get points for that, which will eventually help you to a house, but for the most part you'll have to wait and wait and wait.
it used to be like that in 2004 when people started coming to the uk but the situation has changed dramaticly in the last 2 years.i guess i know over hundred polish people here and ALL of them rent their own rooms/flats/houses.some of this people share their places with others but usually it's 4 people in a 2 bedroom flat/house.
well, maybe in the uk. and I'll let you in on a secret, I actually live between the polish nd ukranian.. hundreds. so okay, maybe you have a point too.
I'm just saying I never met a polish student who worked harder than me. this is not a bad thing, since students from all nationalities aren't used to the work.
just don't tell me a polish girl of 18 years old at a farm works harder than an ex-military who did nothing but hard work. this is not meant as an insult to girls, or the polish, but come on, don't give me that: ''polish work harder'' line. some might work harder. just remember there are actuall dutch people too who are used to 80 hours a week.
so yeah, I want equal chances for everyone. if they would look at each individual's assets and qualities, then the competition wouldn't bother me. and I wouldn't complain. because then it would be fair.
which is what I was trying to tell, if it's fair, it's fair. and then you won't hear me. :)
it is a lot.it is even worse if it's a couple.
65£+65£ a week gives you 130£ times four=520£ a month just for a room. i thin it is about 700 euro.

and I have also passed my friend jacek his rent for a week, - he got short of money - which was 50 euro. slept in that bungalow too after a party. anyway, that is 200 euro a month. which is nothing, not even for a room. - considering dutch students pay 300 to 400 euro normally -
so don't have to tell me anything about that, I know all about the bussiness going on in my own country, otherwise I wouldn't be saying things like that. and okay, maybe it's very different in the uk, and I wasn't really bothered about the rent thing. I wish them all the most cheapest place to stay really. :) would be nice if all of the eu would stick to the same type of rules. would be a lot fairer on everyone.
anyway, I'm going to shut up. :) it's been an interesting discussion. :)
