I am anti-disco polo though.

My daughter got herself a new boyfriend a few months ago. He's Polish and he tried to get here to like disco-polo. She laughed, the boy no longer listens to that piece of ^&%%$#. I'm proud of my her :)

Now they listen to the like of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and similar.

I'm not anti-Polish and I'm English.
I am anti-disco polo though.

How can one be anti-disco-polo? It's comedy at it's best. :)

comedy at it's best

at its most excruciating more like.

edit: Welcome all to a fresh page. Maybe there will be joking and laughter. Maybe there will be trolls.
By the way, we're talking about disco polo / Polish musical comedy just now.

but we didnt want to embaress you guys with memories of burning White Houses :) )

.. try to stay at least in the last century "mate".. And I suppose Hollywood could have cooked up something for our "friends" about Mr. Churchhill coming over with hat in hand for Roosevelt, who by the way, became increasingly annoyed with it. We've paid you back 10 fold. If old Vlad makes it across the Volga someday and is pissing in the Thames some day, maybe we'll just go our separate ways.. shall we.. dahhling??

BTW.. Thanks for leaving us in Iraq. Better not ever need a "loan" again limey.. and you know what I mean.

What planet are you on?
If anyone needs a loan it's the US being 13 trillion in debt and running out of countries to borrow off and heading into a recession.

Thanks for leaving us in Iraq.

- DumbYankee, you guys also should leave, simply because it's a very bad, unjust war. Why ruin your own great country for the sake of Israel? Why die for Israel? Refuse to do it, Yanks, and the world will love ya!

eOkay I'm drunk but I'm going to rant so hang on all ye rookies to world affairs.
Who do you think bankrolled the Nazi's?
The USA.
Why to fulfill the Tu zun philosophy of militarism.
i.e divide and rule.
The USA out thought Europe, bankrolled the facist Germany into a War machine to destroy the Old European order. Thus destroying Europe enslaving (especially the UK to the Marshall plan) the "old world". WAKE UP.

Actually I@m gona shut my mouth because I'm preach to the fish. Bubba...I'm pissed and pissed off. I miss my mates, and its all a charade and until death do us part. and bull...

Well Puzzler, you're right of course.. it's a bad and unjust war. I didn't vote for Dubya' 1st or 2nd time (49% of us didn't); I'm sorry hillbillys saw him as a savior. What can I say, this is a complicated country here. Lot's of factions, ethnicities. You guys are lucky that way, no? Yes we can't afford to cowboy around the globe and those days are swiftly drawing to a close. Thank God..Plenty of 08' candidates are calling for immediate withdrawl from the Iraq.. As to giving away money to Israel, right again. They can take care of themselves for now on. We've got a candidate by the name of Ron Paul who wants to be non-interventionist and pay down the deficit right away (and when you tax the rich making money off

china and India, it's not so hard). Paul raised 6 million in one day on the internet.. by regular people, so he might be a good fit.

Someone started this thread for a reason; I was merely commenting on my own personal dealings with the English, whom I find hypocritical. They are good song writers but little else. There are a lot of people here in the US who do not see them as allies any more. They laugh and criticize us constantly and then have the God Damn gaul to ask us for things like we're friends. They've made decisions that will have repercussions in the future. I'd much rather deal with Sarkozy and Merkel, Tusk.. the continent of Europe (as a whole) is where the true power lies. England won't even join the EU. What the hell do you care what they think?? Does that sound like a good move to you?

To the gentleman who commented on the US bankrolling the Nazis.. well, maybe we'll just let the hangover take care of that little bit of wisdom.

P.S... We didn't have to land in Normandy or parachute into North Africa... It wasn't really that long ago. My grandfather was in the first tank wave across the Rhine and would visibly shake when talking about it. I don't want my kids or me to have to shake.. or yours either. I hope you are fair in your criticisms of the Russians and Chinese.. because they're coming. You can bet your a.sses on that. I like Poland so I visit these boards.. so what? I live in Indiana, we have a county named Kosciuszko.. sound like a Jewish name to you??

Ahh well.. I have to go invade Costa Rica now..

England won't even join the EU.

This is what gets my goat Grrrrrr
A typical American idiot talking about European issues that he knows nothing about, the UK joined the EU in 1973 you DumbYankee.

and then have the God Damn gaul to ask us for things like we're friends.

What the hell have we asked for lately?

If anything it is the other way round in the warmonger George Bush asking for support in invading Iraq and persuading other countries to lend the USA money because they are so in debt.

I suggest you research at least a little bit before posting because my friend you are making yourself look stupid :O)

Thank god you are a small representation of normal decent American people that I have had the good fortune to meet.

I think the mass immigration of Poles to England brought out the fervent nationalists from hibernation. People will react how they are going to react but I hope more people just don't follow like sheep and criticise the Poles because they are Poles. Judge them all differently and be fair. Don't hold them accountable for the failure of their govt to create suitable employment for them.

You really are as dumb as your name suggests.

If old Vlad makes it across the Volga someday and is pissing in the Thames some day,

Why would a medievil Romanian king want to go all the way accross russia, through siberia, over the bering strait, via northern Canada just to have a pee in london? Your level of geographic know how just screams stereotypical insular yank.

There are a lot of people here in the US who do not see them as allies any more.

Thank fek for that.Does that mean we can tell u to fek off next time you guys want a crusade?

They are ignorant and don't understand the great pains Britain has gone through to achieve such a tolerant and welcome society. They don't understand that many blacks and asians were born in this country and fought in 2 world wars and many others for Britain. Some of them even died to set your country free from Hitler and his other facist cronies. It makes me laugh the total disrespect that they have for blacks and asians.
Seanus  15 | 19666

In defence of what Blackzilla said, I have encountered a lot of anti-Black and anti-Asian sentiment here and this is not nice. At football games, they make monkey noises when a black player gets the ball and shout "czarnuchu". Pretty hostile!! Yeah, players like Mark Walters of Liverpool and many others got that, but years ago. Many Poles admit to not being tolerant, mannerly and racially non-biased. Not my words, theirs!!
djf  18 | 166

Blackzilla i think you need to open your eyes. Britain hasnt been and still isnt the tolerant nation that you make it out to be. My ex Boss was attacked with knives in Leeds not many years ago because he is black. Go to Lincolnshire and see the looks on peoples faces when an asian or black person walks by. Not everywhere is like this but that is the same in Poland. There will always be tolerant and welcoming areas but conversely there will be hostile and violent ones.

That's also true, many people have surprised me in Britain with their racist views. Football brings out such opinions. 'I'd rather be a Paki than a Turk' being one such example. That's not inflammatory?!!! This being caused by the Leeds - Galatasaray problems. Leeds, as djf said, is an area where racism is very much in evidence.
djf  18 | 166
2 Jan 2008 /  #175
The racism is the UK usually stems from the poorer less well educated areas i.e. traditional industrial cites and countryside backwaters such as Burnley, Leeds, Lincolnshire. Places were the income is low, jobs are hard and unemployment high. These are now the places targetted by the BNP with some success using the immigrants stealing jobs line to fuel the deep seated fire inside the uneducated proles.
Seanus  15 | 19666
2 Jan 2008 /  #176
It's not really stealing jobs as getting a job requires u to go through formal procedures. It's a question more about being the right person to do it. But it is frustrating that more Poles aren't taking their chances in their own country.
djf  18 | 166
2 Jan 2008 /  #177
There is a vast lack of 'chances' in Poland especially for the less intelligent. I have a Polish university graduate friend who is working in a corner shop in Wroclaw as she cannot get a decent job. She has many friends and family members in the same situation. The pay is low and the cost of housing high. She is considering moving to Norway to get a decent job.

Seanus - stealing is the term the BNP use to persuade voters, not mine.

there are plenty of british graduates who are working in menial jobs aswell, They wont be able to get jobs if polish graduates come here and take jobs. So effectivly they ARE stealing

Considering moving to Norway djf? What skills can she bring to the Norwegian job market? If u thought Wrocław was expensive, Norway will blow u away. Oslo is the most expensive city in the world and Norway is VERY expensive generally. I hope she doesn't like beer as the price is exorbitant there.
