Warsaw, Poland - hotel recommendations?

Bryon

Hello,

It looks like I will be visiting Warsaw this December for four days. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel with reasonable rates, that is close to nightlife, attractions, etc?

Also, are there any clubs, bars, etc that you recommend?
Thanks in advance for the help.

A price range would be helpful. ;)

Personally I prefer to stay outside the city centre, but maybe that's just me! lol

Hi,

A price range would be around $100 to $130USD a night, at the most.

Thanks,

Bryon

look at hotelspoland.com and you will get 4-5 pages of hotels in all price ranges. I have found them to be very competitive. For example at the weekends you could stay in virtually any hotel in Warsaw for the price range you specified.

Polonia Palace Hotel is within your price range and is a top class hotel. If you do go ask for a room with a view over the Palace of Culture AND also dine in the hotel restaurant as the decor is stunning.

I agree with Spiritus, Polonia Palace is a great hotel for a very reasonable price.
Top class hotel and the breakfast is wonderful. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

How about at Novotel Centrum Warsaw? There is a Filipino couple that performs at the lobby bar every night (Mon-sat, 7pm-1130pm)

How about at Novotel Centrum Warsaw?

its probably expensive, but you cant get more central than that.. a good one, but one of the cheaper ones (although still quite nice) is Ibis hotel on pl. Konstytucji - look it up on the web

[Moved from]: Good hotels in Warsaw, Poland

I am going to Warsaw just before Christmas. Can anyone personally recommend any hotels in Warsaw suitable for a romantic break?

If i where you, i would rent an apartment. Then you can do whatever you want. It's also pretty cheap.

I have only good things to say about this company: city center apartment.

Interesting idea. I'm only going to 5 days and I like to be waited on hand and foot. Hotels are pretty cheap too. Might be worth considering for a future trip though...

Rialto - Without question the best hotel in Warsaw.

I recommend the Hilton - absolutely fabulous, and a fantastic gym (Holmes Place) thrown in for free. About 20 mins walk from the centre of town though...

I would recommend the Polonia Palace - excellent reviews in tripadvisor.co.uk
Stayed there for 3 nights a few years ago and was very impressed. Fantastic breakfasts and also a great set dinner - all served by candlelight and silver service.

Not sure sausage, I would look on their website....but if you want to travel around Warsaw, we took the trams or wallked..very easy to get around, it helps to speak/understand Polish though!

fortunately my beloved is Polish. We don't plan on driving around much. Just need somewhere safe to leave the car. The staypoland website that AvJoe mentioned details parking arrangements. I've been instructed (by the boss) that I need to find one with a pool...

I think its too late too put a comment here :), but for information Polonia just seem's to charge insanely high prices for internet. Though I must say they have excellent rooms and breakfast.

Another I would suggest is Zgoda Apartments (stayed there for a week) . Its better than most of the hotels.

We ended up staying at the Sheraton, which a nice modern hotel. The bedroom wasn't particularly warm though....
