New Year in Poznan

Me and five friends are planning to go to Poznan for the New Year Eve. We want to travel on the saterday before december 31 (that is a sunday). Is it difficult to get any tickets for parties on the last day? Or are there also cool clubs to go to without having to buy a ticket in advance?

And what are the cool places to go to?

Hope someone can give me some information.
Thanks,

Coen (from The Netherlands)

Well, it might be difficult to get ticket to the BEST places in town. But if you pay a "konik" or a bodyguard let's say $100, they should let you in :). But seriously, I would make sure in advance there's a place to stay - it may be cold outside in Poznan and you don't want to spend the new year catching a flue...

Hey Coen,

I want to go to Poznan for New Years Eve as well... My Friends from poland told me the same. We're planning now where to go and we'll buy the tickets soon.

Where do u stay that days?

Poznań at New Year appears to be nothing but a bunch of clubs charging ridiculous amounts (100zl+!) for crap entertainment.

I'm going to Wrocław. Should be better :P

We call it amauter night here, I`ll probably stay home and advoid the police roadblocks..not worth taking a chance getting busted.

I wish I could go to Pozan that sounds like fun:)

Hi,

I love Poznan and every year spend Xmas and NYE in Poznan. There is no really good clubbing for NYE (compering to Leeds ;-) but.... still a lot of cool bars.

We are now thinking about renting a bar nad make a cool privat party, dj are with us ;-)

It's about 5 minutes walk from Rondo Srodka, on the banks of Lake Malta.

is it possible to buy vodka from it ?

Hmm...I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

There used to be a shop by the reception, but that was when I lived there a few years ago. It might not be open now. The factory was pretty cruddy looking in those days, they've surely modernised it by now.

All (or most) Wyborowa on sale in Poznań should come from the Poznań factory. It would say so on the label which Polmos produced it.
