When I was in Krakow earlier this year, I did this tour: crazyguides.com
Great fun, and the guy who took us was a mine of information on the area and its history.
Lots of great bars and jazz venues on Florianska too.

Have visited Krakow three times and will go again end of April. March might be a little early if you are looking for warm weather. June or July are great. Great city lots to do and if you are wise things are very inexpensive. Good food great Vodka. Be sure to go to all of the art museums and if you like airplanes the air museum near Nowa Huta. Absolutely gorgeous women and many speak english fluently. Enjoy the culture. Lodging is again reasonable if you hunt for it. I could go on for hours on the attractions and Krakow has the most beautiful Market Square in all of Europe.
Ive been to Krakow.
Lovely place to visit ,I shall return there one day, hopefully soon.
The square as mentioned above, well actually its the Cloth Hall which is in the square

Oh I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it,only went to the weekend so theres so much left to visit
jewish quarter, salt mines, the castles etc etc.
I did go to visit Aushwitz which took a whole day out of the weekend.
heres a question for you,...
On the Sunday evening there was a parade of Police officers in very smart dress code to the church in the square, is that a usual Sunday occurance or was it for something special it was the last Sunday of Janurary 06?
stayed a the Wyskpianski Hotel

Krakow is beautiful. There is so much to do. I had a whirlwind tour of the city when I was visiting family back in August. One day was definately not enough to see even a fraction of the city....but what I saw definately made me want to return. =)
