Nice places to visit around Krakow

Hi,

I have been living in Krakow for a few months now but only know some places that I like and that are worth visiting.
Does anyone know any places outside Krakow that are worth to see?
Everyone knows the Rynek, Kazimierz, places like that but I'm looking for nice places, views, attractions outside Krakow like for instance Wieliczka salt mines, Kryspinow, places like this...

Any suggestions are more then welcome!

Thanks

I am spending some time in Zakopane this Christmas.

Apparently it's quite nice.

What about the salt mine in Bochnia, its about a 45 min train ride from Krakow, but worth it. Its not as "touristy" as Wieliczka is, and Bochnia is much older. We had a tour guide and explained lots of interesting stuff. They even have an underground hotel/motel type arrangement, where you can sleep in the mine. When we were there, the head religious Indian guy was there for a 2 week stay/retreat. He also had his own staff to clean, cook & entertain him.

I dont think I would make a picnic out of it either:)

Hey!!!!......whats with the "new fangled white lines" that are painted on the roads?
Must be some trick being played by the Polish Highways department!!!!

Your very welcome and please feel free to add to the thread.
It is a very common question and I am a little out of touch with what happens in Krakow these days.
