End of summer is a good time, that's when they have the wine festival (winobranie), if they still do.

I might go in the late summer or fall. However, my lady friend might be in Gdansk.

Nah... Spring is the best.
Or whenever the tickets are cheapest.

I dunno. In spring the greenery is still kinda not there.
I'm not sure about the vines they used to have in Zielona Gora, but that being one of the attractions (the northermost pplace in Europe where they planted vines) late Summer would be a bit more like it. Also, in Summer they have some kind of music festivals. Worth looking into it too.

I lived in Zielona Gora about 15 years.

Are there any romantic spots to take my lady friend?

Palmiarnia used to be a nice spot for that:

It looks like a very nice restaurant.

yes, in the midst of a vineyard, all close to the city center. Not that Zielona Gora is that large. The city center is a nice area too. Some shopping, restaurants etc.

You can find more on the city's website: eagle.um.zielona-gora.pl/UMEN/

in the middle of a vineyard in SA, the best time would be in autumn, when the vineleaves are painted by the vineyard elves ;)
