The Intercontinental is the best located 5-star hotel but the Hilton is a better hotel.

If you want to be in the Old Town, your only choice is Le Regina (superb but very expensive). Alternatively you can be near the OT by staying in the Bristol (not quite as expensive but not as good) or the Victoria (not particularly good; the only good thing about it is that if you are in the building, you can't see it).

When my mother came to visit me, I put her in the Hilton. It doesn't have a superb location (although it is only four tram stops from the old town on a direct line; the Intercontinental and Westin are both two stops, change, two more stops) but it is by far the best of the non-boutique top-end hotels in the city.

Le Regina is nice - though not sure if it would fit in with yoru budget.

Or if you fancied something a bit quriky, there is the Castle Inn near the Old Town, which has some really quriky interiors, and is rather unique.

Which Sofitel? There are a few.

The Hilton is an excellent hotel but you'll spend a few zloty extra on taxis (an additional two Euro or so on each journey).

The intercontinental is next to Zloty terrace ( shopping mall)
The Regina is in Nowe Miasto ( Tourist Area )
The Hilton is in Ochota nice but off track/

If I was spending my money I would go to the Regina only to keep my wife out of the mall.

Go with the Intercontinental everything is on your doorstep.

I can't believe what I'm reading.
Forget the over priced chains and go for something with character and class..........

Rialto wins hands down.

I've stayed at the Polonia Palace twice and can't fault the place.

Whilst all the other hotels try to manufacture a pedigree the Polonia's pedigree is genuine (I think it was the only hotel left standing in 1945).

The interior is very classy indeed (don't miss the restaurant) and the front rooms have a stunning view of the Palace of Culture (ok, it's not the Eiffel Tower but still nice to look at through your bedroom window).

I stayed at Europejski. It's old and has character, and it's near everything.

What's the best hotel in Poland

I was wondering if any Poles here could tell me what is regarded as the best or most famous hotel in Poland? im searching for 7 hotels in 7 areas for my stay in Poland :) currently looking through websites :) the fun!!

what city? Most famous hotel in Poland is Victoria in Warsaw, but I am not sure that it is the best. There are many excellent hotels in different cities in Poland. Prime example of why we need wroclaw!

Yes the Rialto is a far better hotel than the Hilton. But it is also more than double the price (best rate for a double room at the Hilton is EUR 61, at the Rialto it's EUR 128).

I stayed at Europeiski. It's old and has character, and it's near everything.

It's also been closed for the last two and a half years. And frankly it was not even a patch on any of the modern hotels.

You can get better deals at if you use their own website. hotelrialto.com.pl/en/

99 Euro is what I normally pay for a one bed suite. Not cheap I agree, but you get what you pay for, and the OP asked for the best.

For that price I would far rather stay at the Hilton and use the EUR 40 change to enjoy their sunday brunch. That thing is superb!
