Do I really need a bulletproof vest to study in Poland?

A good friend of mine once advised me that Poland being a place of racist skinheads especially in the city of gdansk that studing there would need a black dude to ware a bullet proof vest in order to counter-attack the results of being kniffed (stabbed) "infinitely" across the streets.

Does the polish government accept foreign students especiallyblack africans to own a bulletproff vest and possibly a Berreta?

Bullet proof vests are not stab proof and vice versa. The two attacks use different forces and pressures and utilise different methods to protect the wearer.

As somebody said it's more in Russia like that than in here. There are special stab proof vests if you really need one, and you probably can't aquire a firearm that easly.

now, the worst racial attacks happened in russia i believe, where dark people were stabbed, bashed, etc..racism is a bigger problem in russia than in poland...statistically...

I probably agree it is bigger problem yet I believe you're not to far behind, particularly if we take into consideration the number or racial crimes relatively to the overall population. My point was in that there was no reason to dab with your finger. We are both not very safe countries in terms of racism. Get over it.

Runet is full of sad stories about how Russians were bashed in Poland for the only fact they were Russians. A few complained though. I'm not gonna complain either.

Btw in Russia mostly caucasians are targeted. Not black people or any Europeans.

why? Anybody can estimate racism, especially foreigners.

Police say the pair were stabbed repeatedly by three skinheads as they shouted: "Russia for Russians." Less than a month later, a 22-year-old Kurd was stabbed to death and his sister was seriously injured, once again by skinheads, according to authorities

It is a serious problem dude, poland i think is less dangerous for coloured people.

it sounds like it is. If it looks like a horse, then it is a horse.

You might want to look out for some armoured vehicles, Poles tend to place bombs on roads where black people are known to be. Having a small private army force might be an idea too...

Not quite, I only got shot twice the whole time i was there, on the foot, and at point blank range on my spine....no head injuries I've noticed :)

Seriously, armoured vehicles are the way to go. Make sure you mount them first with a few flame-throwers...

I think the real estimation may be only given by someone who has lived in the place for some time. In the past 5-7 years I haven't seen a single skinhead in Moscow where I live. Just to compare... in Germany I've seen three or four heads within two weeks (I was there in July-August). I do not want to any whitewash nazi elements even though I find the reaction on Caucasians considering their criminal rate natural.

Foreigners base their opinion solely on what they read in the newspapers/watch on TV. How comes that they can "especially estimate racism"? Enlighten me pls.

oh......well if i hear in the news,lets say: 10 dark people where attacked in russia last year
and i also hear, 20 dark people attacked in USA..

Then offcourse i will think that more racism is experienced in USA...basic human thinking
