Do It Yourself Renovations in Poland

Hi,

I moved from Canada to Poland 18 months ago with my polish wife. We purchased a flat about 6 months ago. We needed to renovate, then the nightmare began. Apparently all the wiring had to be changed, all the plumbing and so on. Finding somebody to do the renos was difficult, finding people to do it good nearly impossible. I have renovated 3 houses in Canada myself but I am having a hard time doing it in Poland. Different construction , brick and concrete walls while I was used to drywall and wood. Is there any sites or books or forums for DYI people to use in english? The wiring is almost complete as is the plumbing.

Some of the DIY stores like Castorama, have booklets etc.

Otherwise, a regular bookstore should have what you want.

And of course, there are plenty of builders posting on this site. Just pose a question and someone will answer it.
