accommodation in Warsaw, big problems?

Hey everyone!

I am comming to Warsaw on Tuesday for Erasmus the people I have spoken to want us to wait until we go over to find accommodation so we are staying in a hostel for a few nights. I have heard however that it's quite tough to find accommodation and I was just wondering if anyone can give me some information about accommodation!!!

I don't think you should expect big problems with finding an apartment for rent in Warsaw. It depends on the location - expect to pay a lot of money if you want something near the center. Generally hostels are quite affortable (even though students jack up the prices a bit).

Since when? I've never had any problems, and I'm in Warsaw about every six weeks. Avoid the overpriced, touristy central areas and you should be OK.
