Anyone who knows how to find accommodation in Cracow?

Hi everyone!

I'm a swedish student who is going to study in Cracow next semester and I was wondering if anyone knew any good websites or perhaps knows somebody who rents out a flat in Cracow?

I can actually get accommodation through the university but its pretty f-cking expensive they want 1300 zloty per month PLUS electricity etc... Is this really a reasonable price? I pay less for my accommodation in Sweden and electricity, internet is included.

Is that a 1 bedroom in the centre of Krakow for 1300zl? Could be a bargain. Let me know how you get on. I may have a studio apartment in centre of Krakow available for rent in January.

Look at this sticky thread: polishforums.com/look_on_internet_polish_real-20_18451_0.html

And try this website: studentcenter.pl/index.php?lang=en

Well it is in the centre but it's not really an apartment its just a room in an apartment shared with others, so I think it's kind of expensive considering what you get for the price.

How much do you rent it ouy for and where is it located? I'm going to study att Cracow university of economics, is it anywhere near that?

My e-mail is joar_lindh@hotmail maybe you could mail me the information there?

Thanks for your quick answer!

It is obviously overpriced. You can get 1 bedroom flat of your own for this price.

I strongly advise you to contact our forum`s member, Andy B. He works in an estate agency in Krakow. I am sure he will be able to help.

Thank you very much!

By the way since I'm from Sweden and all the heating here is mostly electrical, I'm wondering which heating option is the cheapest in Poland?

Because I heard that electricity is expensive, is that right?

Best regards / Joar

I have some renovation work to do, so not certain at this point. Likely to be in the region of 1200zl month + utilities.

In general electric heating will be your most expensive option, but if you are disciplined about using 2nd tariff electricity, with a storage heater for example, you can keep the cost fairly competitive with gas. I wrote someting on this a few weeks back:
