The snake was brown in colour but i did not see it's head
This was a young one. Later in their lives they change colors.
Polish crossed vipers (żmija zygzakowata) is the only poisonous snake in Poland but the intensity of the poison is so small that serum is need only if a small child is bitten. Adults will not be killed, by one bite.

I never said that one needs serum for zaskroniec, but viper is another story.
I know that it is not very poisonous but why take risks. He might be allergic, one never knows.

I've heard the cold months are better, but I don't know how truthful that is.
It's probably true because in summer there are more people on the beaches who look for amber ;-)
