France also sees Poland as a essential partner in its bid to reinforce European defence, one of four top priorities for its upcoming presidency of the European Union beginning July 1.
"The positions of our two countries largely converge and we will work hand in hand during the French presidency," Sarkozy told Dziennik.
"I'm convinced the engagement of our two countries with contribute to Europe's progress in defence and the Euro-Atlantic partnership."

I wouldn't overestimate this visit.

France is going to be next president of EU and is looking for support. We need France in some cases as well.

We don't agree in everything :)

Do you think he got a transplanted slavic penis in order to be able to satisfy his mistress?

no, no, he is more sofisticated and perfid

he probably seeks to extract some genes from Poland, to encourage Polish immigration into France for batter mix (you know what i mean). Plus, he 100% wants to see how Poles fights (and die) for France all over the globe (cannon fodder situation)

In what sense? I always get the impression that Ministers who come here engage in strategic manipulation. What can Poland offer France that they don't already have?

France is here to do America's bidding. France is America's bum buddy in Europe, making many noises about Iran. Poland already imports French cheese, for me that's more than enough, LOL

we have small step.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that he will propose closer ties with Ukraine during France's presidency, which will begin on July 1, during a press conference on Wednesday.

Whoopdeedoo, Ukraine is a long way off NATO membership according to most sources. It will not be pulled apart like a rag doll.

some people have some complexes ;)

it is good that Sarkozy is more likely as it was in the past to have closer ties with Ukriane.

There are already good buisness links between the two countries!

Hutchinson of France, announced the plans to build a factory in the city. New plant will start manufacturing in 2005. By the end of 2006 Hutchinson's investment outlays will amount to EUR 15 million with 230 new jobs created. French investor expects the employment to gradually rise to 500.

IMO French promise a lot because they want us on "board" there was similar travel to UK. But maybe French want to be new "broker" in europe all in all Germans after unification have started to dominate French in their tandem but I doubt in this version.
