Implementation of Euro

Does anyone know whether there is a hard date for the implementation of the Euro in Poland? Has anything been announced?

doctors prescribing a certain drug because if they did they got payment from the drug company

That's the American Health Care System in a nutshell.

Hopefully by the time Poland adopts the Euro the Dollar will have gained some ground back. Otherwise it's just more pain for me. From the rhetoric it seems somewhere around 2012, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Polish Zloty/Euro?

I'm trying to find out when the Polish Złoty would be converted into Euro. If you could direct me to some websites that provide the information in English, it'd be great too! Thanks for your input!

At the moment the government is pushing for the Euro introduction from 2012. This means entering the ERM2 mechanism in the first half of 2009 (pegging the Zloty to the Euro rate). The government can decide to enter the ERM2, but to actually adapt the Euro, a change in constitution is most likely needed, thus needing to convince the opposition to get the Euro as soon as possible.

It's the constitutional change that is the real bugaboo, and the fluctuating zloty doesn't help either. I think not before 2012, and probably nut until after. My students who work in banks or economics tell me the same thing.
