plus when i walk past her she always stares into my eyes, when i leave with my girlfriend she always addresses me and looks at me and never my girlfriend. I know waitresses are meant to be nice, but its so hard to seperate her behaviour from that expected of a waitress. .

Just between you and me, I do the same kind of staring thing with a guy who works at a restaurant. He's German and I'm Polish. We have these staring matches every time he walks past. We do this because we want each other. He stares at me because he's attracted to me and I stare back without flinching because I want to show him that I feel the same way. It's that simple. I think she wants you.

I think she wants you.

well... thats definately one scenario... another could be that she knows you want her and shes just fekin with your mind... and believe me... shes staring at a lot more guys than just you...

[yeah... ok ok... so im a bitter twisted old man... ]

A lot of Polish women stare. It's a culture thing. If you want to find out how she feels why don't you drop some innuendos - such as starting to ask her about favouite foods, films etc., - as if you are about to ask her out. If she blushes or gets even slightly embarrassed - she likes you. Then you can ask her out.

Works for me.:)

Perhaps Bubba and I are just jaded and cynical, but i'm inclined to agree. I knew a girl (also a wiatress) that actually deliberately targeted men that she saw with their partners. I asked her why and she replied that it was just to see if they would respond to her, even though there was another woman there. That made her feel good.

Now i'm not suggesting that this girl is doing that though, just saying bubba's not as twisted as he thinks...well, at least in this case. :)

or it could be another LOVE STORY.

Let us know the outcome after al this build up - and we want to be invited to the wedding not to mention your childrens christening!

Just thought of something else - should be so easy as it's a restaurant and she a waitress. If you are too scared to ask her out simply leave a little LOVE NOTE on your table after the meal - make sure she is the one clearing your table... Leave your phone number or suggest a meeting place. If you get silence you know it was all a big mistake.

Then all you have to do is change restaurants.

and believe me... shes staring at a lot more guys than just you...

True. But that doesn't mean she doesn't really like you and won't go out with you. It's human nature for a woman to notice attractive men.

I asked her why and she replied that it was just to see if they would respond to her, even though there was another woman there. That made her feel good.

I thought BlueDeep mentioned that the waitress doesn't stare when the girlfriend is there. And he sees her frequently, so it's not like she's testing to see if she can get his attention.

doesn't stare when the girlfriend is there.

Perhaps I read it differently but...

This girl is nice to everyone, but always talks to me and smiles over at me when my girlfriend is away, and doesnt talk to her or treat her the same way

The point I was making is, that this girl used to try and get the male's attention, even though she knew there was a female present/involved whatever. Not that she did it when the girl was there, just that she did it to men, where there was a woman present. Usually by smiling when the woman was powdering her nose etc. :)

Thanks for your opinion filmcasting, glad to hear what you are saying, im not the only one in a situation like this. And Przys thats a good idea ive already thought of, just worried she would think it was sleazy , but it could be worth it. Ill figure something out!! But the restuarant is such a crap place to do something about it! You have to get timing perfect, and its so easy to make an ass of yourself! Anyway, the bullet is going to be bitten!

Some time ago I have received a letter, on a nice paper inviting me to dinner, well written, polite and I was really impressed. You cannot go wrong with good manners even if it's out of style these days.

Yeah that actually does sound like a good idea, if i get no phone call ill just not go to that restuarant anymore, and will have my judgement up my ass!! Women always come up with the best ideas! So did you go out to dinner?

BlueDeep,
no I didn't because I was dating somebody else, but I will always rememebr that letter and now when I think about it, I should have gone - because he was a great guy. I wanted to be loyal to my boyfriend:). Well I was in love at that time.

In the letter he also asked me if I was with somebody, if I wasn't than he would like to have a pleasure to accompany me to dinner - it was really classy:)

I was hoping for a good story at the end of my day....

If you'd like a Valentine related cheer me up, then i'll bite. The only really romantic thing i've ever done was this:

As a surprise for Valentine's day a few years back, I flew my then GF to Southern Ireland, (she said she'd always wanted to go) and we stayed in this gorgeous 5 star hotel and we spent the Valentine's weekend there. It was the works, strawberries for Breakfast, fancy meals and champers in the evening type affair.

Went very well too, she even got to meet a relatively minor celebrity, who just happened to be staying there with his missus (She was thrilled, as she was a fan.) That bit was a bonus, but it certainly didn't hurt proceedings. :)

Hmm. :)

Anyway, back to thread. This Huegeljack was brought to you courtesy of Al Beleavin Airlines. :)
