(Yup, I'm 100% sure you need glasses!)

I already use glasses, thank you. I haven't even seen you! I just wanted to pull your leg. Dutch people don't really like to be confused with Moroccans, who are technically Dutch. How many do you have over there?

Viva geert!

liberal thinking Western Europeans- mostly after casual sexual relationships and anti-family.

They were students in a foreign country FFS - they were not thinking about marriage and kids!

A person that spend 1 year in a country very far from home is not family-oriented, not even Poles.

There is such a big difference between people at home, and people temporarily being in another country.

Anyway... are Eastern Europeans, in general, more romantic and family oriented than Western Europeans?
- Probably yes. But all kinds of personalities exist in all countries.

ARIEN- you are something else, you know that? And kind of an a s s . I don't have time to be specific because I'm visiting family right now, but a lot of what you write is what's wrong with modern day society. Sounds like you are the typical sleaze at the bars? :) Kidding! Anyways buddy, I don't wanna f girls that are f-ing other guys! If that makes me conervative than so be it! Not my taste (no pun intended)

I also have an Austrian roommate with a girl back home, and he says he would never cheat on her. He seems more conservative and down to earth (but we'll see). He'll be in Canada for a year. I thinks it's awesome he's not some sleaze bag who's just travelling abroad to bed other women. See, that's romantic!

Anyways, I would love to find out more about other European cultures and how romantic they are in relation to Polish people (I still think the Poles are more romantic than Swedes or Germans). If anyone has any experience that is. For example, the Italians are stereotyped as being romantics.

Merry Chrsitmas everyone! And dont' fight.
Wesołych Świąt.

I'm just being brutally honest.

I don't have time to be specific because I'm visiting family right now, but a lot of what you write is what's wrong with modern day society.

Hey, call it wrong all you want, but I'm only trying to tell you that there's nothing wrong with having relationships through puberty and life as a whole. Not everyone in life is happily married. (But don't worry, you'll find out sooner or later that no one's perfect!) I'm trying to tell you that it has always been, and always will be human nature, and that it has always been like that.

There's absolutely nothing modern about anything I'm telling you.

Sounds like you are the typical sleaze at the bars? :) Kidding!

I'm sorry to disappoint you.

Anyways buddy, I don't wanna f girls that are f-ing other guys! If that makes me conervative than so be it! Not my taste (no pun intended)

I'm simply telling you that some people aren't possessive, aren't jealous, aren't conservative and really don't mind sexual freedom. (Ofcourse there are good things and bad things about this!) My point is that these people really shouldn't be judged, insulted or even being called a sleaze for any of their genuine feelings in this typical Christian fashion of yours.

So you say you don't want girls who are sleeping with other guys. (Does this include girls who have slept with other guys in the past?) Anyway, I don't mean to upset you, but who says she won't ever cheat on you? Who says she won't ever leave you? Who says she's a virgin? Who says you have to be?

I also have an Austrian roommate with a girl back home, and he says he would never cheat on her.

Me neither.

He seems more conservative and down to earth (but we'll see). He'll be in Canada for a year. I thinks it's awesome he's not some sleaze bag who's just travelling abroad to bed other women.

Do you really think that men who bed other women can't ever fall in love? Do you really think they can't ever grow up and decide to settle down with someone they think is truly special? Do you think that people who have been divorced a couple of times can't marry again? Are those people sleazebags too?

See, that's romantic!

I agree, it is.

Anyways, I would love to find out more about other European cultures and how romantic they are in relation to Polish people (I still think the Poles are more romantic than Swedes or Germans).

Well, I'm Dutch, and I'm trying to tell you something about people, and about how I see certain things, and I'm really trying to do so with as less insults as possible. (I try to respect people with different opinions, but I'm free to disagree with someone if I think I have a good reason and tell them why exactly.) So I hope this is an interesting read for you. However, this still doesn't mean every Dutch guy thinks like me. And guess what? The same goes for German and Swedish people.

If anyone has any experience that is. For example, the Italians are stereotyped as being romantics.

Berlusconi?

Merry Chrsitmas everyone! And dont' fight. Wesołych Świąt.

You too. Wesołych Świąt Bożego Narodzenia!

:)

OK Arien - we can agree to mostly disagree. But for the record I am not looking for a virgin type. And don't stereotype me as a Chrsitian prude, because I think you are trying to do that in some sense. I just have my tastes and know what I do not want. I guess I haven't been jaded to the point where I've given up on being a "one woman man". I still have fairly good morals and still feel things. Don't emotions and feelings separate us from the animals?

I don't actually disagree with your choices, I only disagree with they way you talk about other people, simply because they're dating.

And don't stereotype me as a Chrsitian prude, because I think you are trying to do that in some sense.

Not really, and I think I could tell you the exact same thing about stereotyping liberal thinking Western Europeans?

I still have fairly good morals and still feel things.

So do most of the people you were talking about.

Don't emotions and feelings separate us from the animals?

Yes, ofcourse our feelings and emotions seperate us from the animals, and that's probably what makes this subject a little too complicated sometimes..

:)
