i see where your cominng from. i was born in england and my girlfriend was raised and born in poland. me and my partner are even teaching eachother how we speak and our languages( english/polish). we have so much is common in term of personality. the thing that makes our relationship work better is that we both wanna learn more and more about each others cultures and are serperate ways of life. it makes us get more closer as we learn somthing new about each other everyday. in other words, it make are relationship more interesting.

Do mix culture marriages work?

If the black person is "white" enough and the white person is "black" enough, etc. then yes. It's completely natural for a really white person to be attracted to a really black person, but when you grow older things change and you look for marriage and security, not just someone to shack up with.

Contrary to popular belief, there is a difference between lust and love, and a lot of straight up gangstas who are naturally attractive to rich white girls can't hold their d**k long enough to marry and have legitimate children so the guy leaves the stupid girl with a bastard child which is no more than she deserves.

If you call me a racist I won't care because it's just the truth.

BTW: If this makes you feel bad, it's not my fault, but the admin will probably delete this. Read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

Where did you come up with this percentage? Why are you short-changing yourself ;)

Merged: Polish view on inter-cultural marriage?

Czesce everybody!

I will be visiting Poland this year with my wife. She is Polish and I am Oriental. We met in college. In the US, we really don't get treated differently because we look different from each other. It's just the way we like.

I've already met her parents, and they are really nice folks. I am wondering how the Polish population will perceive us in general.

I got a taste of the maltreatment that comes with inter-cultural marriages in New York. We were in a Polish area eating at a Polish restaurant. My wife told me afterwards that the ladies in the restaurant were saying to each other that they could never marry anyone who is Oriental....so on and so forth.

I'm fairly confident that cities like Warsaw are more progressive in their manner of treating everyone equally. But most of my stay in Poland will involve hanging around in places like Gdansk, Elblag, Krakow, and so on. My other Polish friends tell me that these places are more traditional (I don't know what that means, but I sure hope they are referring to my skipping of Sunday mass. I guess I can always go to confession for that.).

Thanks!

These people exist everywhere and should just be ignored. If they don't want to marry an Asian, they don't have to. As long as you're happy.

Have a lot of fun in Poland.

She is Polish and I am Oriental.

I referred to someone I work with as Oriental, and was told by the person I was speaking with that I should not do this - that it is considered an ethnic slur. I was genuinely surprised! Is this true? I noticed that you referred to yourself that way, so I thought I'd ask you. Thanks!

Some people look at it negatively, from what Ive noticed, because it ignores their nationality and in some peoples eyes it shows ignorance of this region of the world since their are large cultural differences between countries.

A lot of people from this region of Asia do not consider themselves Oriental - but Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc...
