Whose Life is it? Polish girlfriend under family "house arrest"

Harry

Harry I am not going to debate further on this, simply because I feel that some institutions should remain as they are, you may call it archaic, but I say that traditions only start to die out when you start to dilute them. The roles in the RC church are as they are and should not be tampered with. I haven't read your links because I have my beliefs and opinions on this and you obviously have yours.

Obviously that is fair enough. My original point was that knowledge of the principles of the RC church is needed if one is to try to understand why things are the way they are in small-town Poland.

This thread is too funny!
First, we have our resident teetotaler making the most sense:

I am useless at relationship advise, so please do not take anything I say seriously.

You love this girl and she loves you, great!.
Best case scenario, she gets back to Ireland, continues her life there with you.

I am just curious about this,
would she have to turn her back on her family to make this come true?.
Can you win over the family?.

You know the ex, will he follow her over and cause problems for you?.

i think it is important to have a workable goal.

Then this is FAS!:

Boy, you are too dumb to even be a bigot properly.

You're a bit of a d*ck aren't you Ontherag

LMAO! So true...

I'll bet Irish is starting to question his coming here for advice! Lol...

Remember that Pope Joan was burnt alive for having a pussy instead of a willie! So much for that (female) upstart. And the potato and tomato are STILL excommunicated because they aren't mentioned in the bible. This means that every Catholic who's eaten these excommunicated foods are already condemned to hayell's eternal damnation without even knowing it. At least they'll have it warmer there than a Polish winter. Lucky escape for the mango, banana, kumquat, parsimon, passion (oo-er) fruit, orange, lemon and lime and loads of other exotic stuff not mentioned in the so-called 'Holy Book', which were discovered in comparatively enlightened times.

Lads and Lassies......this thread is beginning to lose its purpose.

To answer a few questions.

1. Yes, i accept some of his calls but sometimes i just press reject. I respond to some of his idiotic txts.

2. Would he follow agnieszka back to Ireland.....most definitely. If he cant have her then no one will. He has told her that.

3. Would she have to turn her back on her family......thats why she went home to tell them and ask them to respect her wishes. When we spoke on phone at start of week she told me she wanted still to come back.

4. For those who think she wants money......she has more than me !!!

5. Could I take this lad if it came to it......No, he is an absolute nut case with no respect for life.

Thankyou to those of you who posted your respects yesterday.

The guy sounds like a dangerous freak. He will harm this girl. That's the sort of thing jealous murderers say.
You gotta do something, Irish. Either go over there with your buds and clock him or call the cops on this guy or somehting. Time for you to take control and find out once and for all what's up, I'd say.

Do you have a mate that is more of a nut-case than him?

Come on, we all do, the person that we go out for pints with but never really go out with because you know they will take offence at someone looking at them and go loopy and batter them.

If you have a mate like that then good stuff, if not, then find one or get the gardai mega involved. Show them the texts, let them you know are fearing for your safety and they will make sure this dafty gets no-where near you.

If she really wants to come back can you contact her without other people knowing? If she still have stuff in Ireland can you not get a ticket sorted, tell her the date and time and she can run off?

Lol! Yeah, we all know one of them! A good bud but you never take him anywhere because you can't trust him to behave once he gets a few in him. Lol...

Harry:
If women are the equal of men in the RC church, why are women entirely excluded from the leadership roles (except when leading other women)? Why can women not be ordained in the RC church?

I dont care, nuns have their place, they teach in schools they are missionaries and fully trained nurses - for me as a RC I'm happy with that.

Very funny.....if was another religion hmmmm let's Islam as an example :)

your answer would be totally different......poor soul.

Why are you asking ?

Wikipedia states a population of 278. That's a small village and tells me that it might be the sort of place that has only one or two shops. And possibly no church.

I stand to be corrected, of course.

Just trying to make sense of some of the posts to my thread.....some of it starting to make sense though.

More thoughts, based on a village I don't know.

A small percentage of the population will be townies with a second home.

You are not likely to see a police officer in the village, unless there is a problem.

Some people will deal with problems in their own way.

There might be medium to high unemployment.

The community will probably be involved in farming to some extent.

Right. I would guess a close-knit community that help one another out in the event of a problem. I would advise you don't go there to confront this guy by yourself, Irish.

Nuns chose their life, they chose to serve god, they chose to dress in a habbit - it's part of the uniform... They are not forced by anyone, as I have already stated, they play a massive role in the RCC and in every day life...As for muslims lol if the taliban get their way women will be just massive baby making machines with no education. Did I mention that nuns are teacher too? I have a lot of respect for Bhikkhuni's too - female Bhudist monks who also chose their way of life too.

I wouldn't have thought that there will be many second homes. That place is about an hour and a half by car from Warsaw (i.e. three hours on friday afternoon and sunday evening), making it a little bit too far out. There will be nothing in the way of trains and buses can be a pain in the arse round there.

You are not likely to see a police officer in the village, unless there is a problem.

Agreed.

Some people will deal with problems in their own way.

Most of which will involve large amounts of alcohol.

There might be medium to high unemployment.

And considerably more under-employment.

The community will probably be involved in farming to some extent.

There's bugger all esle to do out there!

Udate...update...update.

For those of yyou who are interested the physco ex is up to his antics again. Agnieszka rang her manager today to ask how the wedding went on Friday (the wedding she was to go to). During the conversation her manager asked if she had rang me lately........immediately the ex took the phone and began shouting down the phone.

Since then he has sent her texts in Polish calling her alsorts and I have had 6 calls and one text...again threatening me and my son and that he would do it tonight.........Time for me to go to Police.........I would appreciate some logical responses to this 'doing my head in saga'

Time for me to go to Police.

Forget the police. Just get yourself a six pack and a shotgun and wait for him to come on your property. Make a party out of it.

Very much so. You seem to be handling this in exactly the right way so I can't offer any logical advice other than keep doing what you are doing.

this is the sort of thing that is always playing in the back of my mind...if she has the freedom to call her boss or him...then why is she not coming back? It does make me think she is hiding something from Ireland...
