Congrats on getting the move sorted out. I'll be in Vancouver for a few days in 4 weeks time visiting the itinerant son so I'll do a recce on the good bars for you. I think he knows them all by now.

Couple of nice bars on Granville St, Doohans is on your left and heading towards the bridge on your right a nice bar called Morrissey's.. Decent Guinness, staff and customers in both... Or on the corner of Robson and Granville a bar called Lennox where i met my then canadian girlfriend...ahhhhh

Women love to have a unique selection of wine, well after it is no longer commercially available. This particular variety only comes out once a year, and is usually snapped up quickly on most markets. I work in an area that has a lot of new immigrants from asia, and as of yet it would appear they have not caught on to the phenomenon... Cannot buy just one... must have a case...

Beaujolais Nouveau is the first of the season's wine, produced at the end of the summer... if you can make yours last till the start of the following summer then you are doing well...!
