It all depends on him. Some don't want to leave their friends and parents behind, are afraid of the new country, but others are brave and ready for a new adventure in life.

surely it is easier for a polish person to learn english then english learn polish.

my ex was polish and he liked it here he could speak english but still had the strong polish accent. oh and he also liked how i look, i am mixed race so very differnt from polish girl look.

dont they teach you english in school and college in poland?

After many hours on the phone using easynetaccess.co.uk to call Poland, we made a try to stay together in Poland.

So far so good.

yes they do teach english in schools and colleges in Poland Lizzylizz but maybe he has basic english needed if neccessary to make him understood to anyone english that pops into his store ... and if he is happy in poland and forgive me for stating the obvious where the polish language is used on a daily basis ... he may just be happy to plod along as he is without the need to develop his english

surely it is easier for a polish person to learn english then english learn polish.

In fact it is just the same for both ... have you ever if you keep having polish boyfriends considered learning the language ie learning polish or asking for your boyfriends help in learning it ... sounds like a logical thing to me.

my ex was polish and he liked it here he could speak english but still had the strong polish accent

that might be the case ... but not every single polish person is the same as another each person is an individual with their own personality etc and personally from this statement i think you are trying to make your current polish boyfriend be like your ex polish boyfriend

why don't you go to him

Indeed!

i have started to learn polish i did last year i made contacts with some polish people and have a polish-english dictionary.

i find it quite difficult but seeing as im on this forum and continuing to try.

i dont blame him for not knowing english i just wondered what it was like i poland as i was told that in schools it was taught just wanted to know if this is true.

And i do hope to go and visit Poland, this is my plan but i dont know when i will be able to, it is slightly more dangerous for a young female to travel on her own then a male.

maybe i will find a friend to come cant think of who as of yet.

And i do realise every one is an individual i do not expect him or want him to be the same as my ex-hence the fact that he is my ex.

So on this you are very wrong.

I go on holiday but not on my own just prefer to be with friends etc....more fun!!

im quite happy with this, i guess i could learn more but who couldn't we all can learn and experience more at any age, learning is a life long thing, i figure i have alot of years ahead of me so no real rush.

I am estonian girl in love with polish man.We talk english. Its difficult to be honest, because his english is really bad.The only thing which helps is that we can understand each other with looking into each others eyes and using different parts of our bodies :)ha-ha-ha but we both enjoy it and still able to communicate I find polish men very sweet, stable, romantic, tender and can give an advice for all other girls. If u wanna be a happy woman just grab a sweet polish man and never let him go.Polish men are best

hi, puzzler, my english seems not good enough to understand your question, or i just dont have the sense of humor as you do.

I am an English girl with Polish boyfriend.. we live in the UK and he didnt speak much English when we met, even though he had been here for 4 years.. now we live together and his English is much better... so of course it can work, if you both want it to. However, dont forget its not only the language thats different, the cultural differences can be huge too.
