Chatting up Polish girls in the street.

Do Polish girls feel very nervous and uncomfortable if someone tries to chat with them in the street, supermarket, on the bus, etc.? I have seen very pretty Polish girls in the UK streets but I haven't tried chatting with them in the same way I would do with British girls! Comments from Polish girls in the UK would be very appreciated! :)

I have found the ones I have encountered in the US are a bit guarded at first. But I think this is common of many foreigners in a new land. It is good to be cautious with strangers, particularly for girls.

What makes you think us British ladies like it? Maybe we're just too polite to tell you to go away...Having your space invaded by a weirdo isn't appreaciated by any nationality..

I don't disagree with you mostly but blokes do tend to chat up women when they are on holiday <Italians and Greeks especially lol> and it's just a bit of harmless flirting most of the time.

If it's friendly, there's no harm in it and some women would be flattered I think. So, I don't really see the harm in the poster asking his question.

I've been chatted up in a supermarket several times and I don't see the person/s as weirdo's......in fact wasn't there a thing on tv about some of the supermarkets trying out a singles night .......

:)

Yes, British girls are very polite, particularly in normal social situations. But I also like British girls because they are very straight forward and if they aren't feeling comfortable they will tell you to go away without hesitation, in a polite way.

However, when I talk to Britsh girls, they can't resist my friendly and soft Latino approach, with a nice smile and sexy Spanish accent (I have been told!). And in many occasions, the girls are the ones asking for my mobile number to get in touch so they can practice their Spanish! Of course, I don't approach all girls in the street, only those who look professional or University educated as they are more open minded about talking to a nice stranger and kissing good bye on both cheeks.

You should have quit when you were ahead .......now you just put your foot in your mouth with that sentence........

If you're so irrestible then you really wouldn't be trying to chat up women in the street, whatever nationality they are.

Hahahaha :)

(Holiday is fine :) )

Ive had a few not so pleasant experiences of late, maybe this has tainted my view, saying that there is a particularly nice chap that gets on the tram who keeps smiling at me :)

That sounds promising, although I remember you recently posted that you 'were already spoken for' .

Just shows though you can meet people almost anywhere really these days .

As I said before, talking to Britsih girls is not difficult as they are used to see foreign people in the UK and they are more open minded. But the question is basically about how Polish girls living in the UK may react when a stranger tries to talk to them. I have never been to Poland so I don't have any experience about socialising with Polish girls. Although, I have Polish girl friends in the UK but I have met them through University so it is a totally different situation.

They are not likely to take you on and chat to you. They will likely see that you are a foreigner and turn away. If you are in a group with other people, that may be a different story. They dislike uncomfortable situations.

I agree. It depends on the situation.

Doesn't everyone dislike uncomfortable situations?
I understand what you mean. But what's uncomfortable is very subjective.

Some handle them better than others. Sometimes it's worth going through some discomfort to reach a position of comfort! God Only Knows I know this from stomach pains and other ailments.

i wouldn't appreciate some random guy trying his luck with me on the street, especially if i was in a hurry. i don't think streets are the best place to chat up people, makes you instantly think the person is trying to sell you something. depends on the girl, but i wouldn't be very impressed. especially with a guy like bambino here walking around town and collecting mobile numbers.

You are very SASsy today, Davie. I understand what you are trying to say SwedishPole.

I meant situations where they have to get out of their comfort zone. Some can do that in order to help or just make contact with others.

Am i bambino?? naaaa. I agree, i would never go up to girl on the street and start chatting her up. Bit to prozzy like. Always in places where alot of people are having fun to one common purpose ;)

Have you tried shouting from your moped? Chicks like that sort of thing. Especially when you follow it with a friendly pat on their backside to show them they are beautiful.

that is because they think they get to marry you for your Bolivian passport, quite a commodity for Polish girls who are always on the go

Do ANY women feel comfortable when you do that? Unless you're very good at it, since you had to ask you're not very good at it so dont try it.

if you want to feel really awkward and receive a lot of rejects, try and chat up a polish girl on the street. they really are not nice and they have the feeling that you are some kind of pervert for trying that
