With winter fast approaching, I assume more people will spend more time indoors. I've never lived a Polish winter. How long can one stay outside for during those long winter days? Can you still stay active outside? Do people still go for walks????
Winters Coming Up...How long can I stay out?
I'm jogging from time to time during winter, despite snow or minus temperatures, you just need to have proper clothes. Strange question anyway, go out, check the temperature, pop your head though the window, after that you should have a broad idea how many clothes should you put on. This winter might be a little different because of the flu approaching but still it's not siberia :)

Lucky you! I wish i was there!! I want a real winter, cold and snowy!
I think i've lived 2 Polish winters. Last one was in Zakopane, almost 3 years ago, at Christmas time. It was sooo nice, all that snow and Christmas lights, decorations everywhere.

Nah, Polish people are like bears, they sleep til spring is back ;)
Kidding. You know, it depends. Winters are not as cold as they used to be. It also depends on the region. But having a walk is doable. You will see plenty of people risking their life outside ;)
Funny question :-) If you don't fall asleep in some ditch after party then you shouldn't have a problem with surviving polish winter ;-)
Well I like being outdoors, so I just don't want to seem like a societal outcast being the only one walking around outside. Besides, I like visiting new places, and exploring the world no matter what temperature or weather conditions. The same place in 4 different seasons is a different place.

I like to walk through Old Town Gdansk, especially early on Sunday morning. I've been doing this almost every Sunday for two years. There are few people out and I have the otherwise crowded streets almost to myself. I often see the same people and we nod to each other.
Who cares about being a so called outcast? Just get out there and enjoy it.
